TH8 Army Composition - Looking For Trophies

Hey All,
My current attack stratergy has been recently criticized by many of you forum people for being "inefficient, costly and inefficient." Currently I use 2 Drags, 1 Pekka, Giants, Sometimes 1 Healer, And Rest Archers. And with the seeking air mines now, Drags just don't work as well as they used to.

If I'm Looking For Trophies and Able To Get Good Loot At Same Time, What Army Combination Should I use? standard troops (barbs, arch, giant) are maxed, Healers are lv2, Drags are lv3, Pekka is Lv1.

Balloons and Minions?

Have you used it yourself?

I have tried it with level 4 balloons and level 2 minions + rage spell and could easily take out a town hall 7.

most of my attacks will be against TH8? what could i use there?

Do Hog Riders still work well or have bases been anti-hogged now?

Level 5 balloons are much better than level 4, and if you have minions at least lvl 3, you can easily demolish any th8, even th9s. Just find bases with poor AD placement, then drop half on one AD and half on the other. You can bring lightning spells if you like, but are not necessary. Some even bring heal spells.

Regarding hogs- yes hogs still work. No base is able to defend against them without losing at least 1 star. And besides if you look at matchmaking there aren't too many anti-hog bases.

I recommend 1 of these 2 strategies. Note if you use hogs to stock up on dark elixir since you will lose profit each raid. Hope this helps.

Thanks Michael! So would you suggest I upgrade minions to lv3 before I upgrade Barb King? And also would rage spells work?

If you want trophies then I suggest using rage spells and lightning spells
