It's a game

I've been reading some of the threads about raiding, decorations, global events, etc., and I don't mean to offend but some of you take this game way too seriously. I haven't been playing for a long time and when I started reading the threads I realized there's a whole other level that I didn't know about and probably a lot I don't want to know about. Some of us just want to play the game and don't mean at all to offend others by "raiding" others and interfering with trades or whatever. When I put something for sale it has nothing to do with anyone else. Don't get me wrong I help my friends, followers and helpers when I can by filling boat orders and even sometimes by selling an item they might need. I don't use fb and have no communication with them-I just think they might check my bins from time to time so I provide what they might need. I don't care who buys my stuff. So, if there's a sensitive subject that someone brings up in a thread just realize we're all not taking or playing the game as serious as some of you. Don't worry about me I have thick skin and can take any criticism one might have with this thread but again, I'm just saying lighten up on newbies!😉

Oh Moyyoggi, where do begin :cool:. I think when you read a lot of these threads , you have to read between the line. A lot of the comments are said "tongue in cheek " . I'm taking a wild guess that your probably referring to the person who mentioned about raiding, earlier today. I myself did jump on this very quickly as I did think a comment was probably a bit harsh for a newbie . All I can say is since I've joined this forum ( my 1st ever) I have never laughed so much ( especially with the speed quizzes ). I've never read or posted a nasty or sarcastic thread, and have made some lovely friends. And as for taking my farming seriously all I can say is MICHEAL ASPEL GET OUT THE RED BOOK~THIS IS MY LIFE :cool:

Oh HappyHelen, I totally agree - I've had some really good belly laughs when reading many of the comments and stories here (many from you). This is, by and large, a super fun group of peeps and I've enjoyed the new cyber friends I've met and shopped with online. Yep, it's just a game, and I play it as such. My signature lets my shopping philosophy be known (all are welcome in my store), and anyone who decides they don't want to play with me anymore can unfriend me, and that's ok too. To each his/her own. It's just a game and there shouldn't be any hard feelings because then that would take the fun out of it.

As for me, I've got a multi-faceted business to run (farming, shipping, trucking, mining, cooking, etc.), so please excuse me as I've got to run and take care of it, laundry be darned.

P.S. My daughter is as addicted as I am but can't access the Forum during the day at work, hence she doesn't post near as much as I do. In support of what Helen wrote, I find the forum is full of funny, caring supportive people who would never mean to upset anyone. This is also my first forum and I have been so grateful for the help and support I have received, both as a newbie and since. I still learn something new almost every day, and have also learnt that we all play slightly differently but fully support everyone's right to do so. Happy Farming everyone;)

I have to agree with everything Shealie and Helen have said, everyone play s differently and we all have to respect that.
there is not a day when I haven't had a good giggle from reading this forum.

Lets just farm, farm and farm and have fun, my RSS is for everyone, if it's there it's yours.

I remember being right where you are Moyyoggi! Remember that brief period so long ago where the etiquette overwhelmed me and i just wanted to scream for the world to relax! I'm sure i made many posts similar to yours. :) Luckily, i did come through that and let it all go and found more joy in the game than i had before.

But I don't want anyone else to get so frustrated with it all that they quit...so that's why it's one of my missions as a mod...let's squash out the etiquette and learn to love the game no matter how anyone else plays it...because they have just as much right to their way as i do...and if those two ways are at odds...well then we just move on and find other neighbors.

Why didn't someone tell me? All this time wasted worrying about feeding the chickens, and wondering if the pigs were embarrassed because their wrappings were falling off. Trying to figure out why my recipe for shepherds pie didn't have pumpkins in it. I mean really !! A GAME??????

I mean if I'd have known it was just a game I wouldn't have hired that lazy boy Tom just to keep him off of welfare. I wouldn't have scoured the internet wondering if his parents were looking for him, or worried every time my truck went off if he would get hit. Why the heck am I waking him up before I send off my truck orders if this is just a game?

Gee whiz, now just what am I going to do with all that goat feed I have been making and the ice cream I am dutifully putting in my bursting at the seams barn ( I am assuming there is a deep freezer in there to keep it from melting, right?).

Same for clash of clans... I try not to get worked up on it lol (sometimes I do :cool:)
I also wish people realize that even though its just a game, it gives people no reason to be mean to others:D
