TH sniping should no longer give shields

I'm a farmer btw, and will have little trouble looting after the update. Just worried about the players just starting the game. Devs answer...buy gems. Please don't take that the wrong way, you made a great game and I'm loving it so far. Just offering advice, right or wrong, just my opinion.

Please don't revive a thread more than 2 years old. TH sniping had to be removed since these people can't farm enough to earn their upgrades anyways.

It was brought up because someone necro bumped it, but now that it is up, most of us are making some comments before it sinks back down. It is an interesting read, and has been a thread that literally been brought up several times during the 2 years of it's life time. Maybe in a month or so, when this sinks back down, a Mod could close and archive this thread for historical purposes.

Regardless that doesn't really change anything I said. You're an active player. If I steal loot from you, you have to steal more from someone else. That is a net loss. In addition you're likely to lose the loot in collectors over a series of small attacks instead of one big one. At least that's how it works for me. When I leave my TH inside overnight, I'll gain a hundred or more trophies over the night.



This is a very poor argument. I explained to you very clearly how TH sniping does not result in reduced loot due to hiding. So now you've switched to "isn't it supposed to be the main building in the game". The real question is, how would changing it so people were compelled to protect their TH make the game better? If you accept that TH sniping does not significantly reduce available loot, who exactly is the loser here? Is it the people who get free trophies? The people who get free resources? The people who preserve their resources and at the same time reduce the number of unprofitable base attacks?

Sounds to me like everybody wins. So what exactly is your issue with it?

I'm a maxed TH 10, would be where I'm at without farming and shield. It would be hypocritical for me to accept this change now that I'm so far advanced. Totally unfair to newer players. Why should they keep playing against an unfair playing field
