Revenge Change and how it affects top players

I agree with the rest, but changing the description of 5/10 top clans is a way of sending a message as 10 million people can read those descriptions... And we don't know wether they've been sending emails...

lets keep it real - majority of these ppl who are whining dont even buy their gems from Supercell/iTunes. They buy them from cheap gemsites, but yet they want Supercell to help them ♥♥♥♥♥. Quite a few clans support this update, just not the top 10.

It sends a very short, non-descriptive message to players. What can SC learn from those descriptions? They can see that they are unhappy, but that's about it. They have to argue their case and debate the issue, not just say they are quitting, if they want anything at all to change.

I am glad it is gone, at least in concept.

Would a return of the purchasable 7-day shield be helpful to top players? Now that the exploit has been addressed, maybe they should add this back in.

Are all shield purchase options removed at that trophy level or just the 7-day?

Have you guys taken a look at the top clans and the top players. Take a look at how many clans have the shield that is Dark Blue with a White Wave. Now take a look at the clan descriptions... For example, look at Quantum's Web clan description. It says, "SCELL...due to the update and the new revenge rules, the top players in the game are considering retirement...communication???" Now what the top players are talking about is the new revenge cool-down time, meaning that they can't cheap shield anymore. What's cheap shielding you might ask? Basically, when a top players wants to log off, they will have a friend or their second account revenge their main account. they would attack and surrender at 40%, giving their main account a free shield and no loss in trophies. Because as a top player, if you log off without a shield, someone can come attack you, and you're looking at a loss of 30-60 trophies. And then they will have to regain those trophies in EXTREME PAIN. When you are a top player, it sometimes takes more than an hour to find a base to attack, and 99% of the time there will only be 1 trophy available. So cheap shielding was super popular in high levelled gameplay. Top players would get free shields without any loss in trophies. Now you might ask, "Well, since they gem so much, how come they can't just buy a shield?" Here's the problem with that. Supercell made it so that top players are not allowed to buy a 1 week shield...but they can still buy the One-Day and Two-Day shield, but of course they also have a cooldown aswell. So during the cool down, they need to cheap shield in order to keep their ranking. Hope that makes sense.

So in the most recent update, Supercell made a cool-down time for revenging. This means that when a player logs off, other people have to wait a few minutes before revenging that person. Now this is why the top players are upset. Since there is a cool-down time, when they log off of their account, they have to wait a few minutes before using their second account or have a friend revenge them and give them a free shield. During these few minutes, there is a very very high chance that they will be attacked by someone else. When your a top player, the second you log off, someone will attack you. And most top players don't fail when they attack. So when you go back online, you'll see a huge loss in trophies.

So now, many people and many clans are mad at Supercell for releasing this cool down since they can't cheap shield anymore. Being a top player is now extremely difficult, which is why so many are retiring. Hope this all makes sense!

SC did the right move. Non-honest players will quit, and honest players will start again (GaryTao and his crew..)
