When trading, do you put the items up one at a time, or do you do ten at a time in the last slot (assuming you are trading ten). How is it usually decided who goes first?
thanks!

Its's entirely up to you up to how many you want to trade, if you are making a trade with someone usually best to place one wheat to ensure you are trading with the agreed trader. One item at a time is usually safer in case somelse snatches the trade.
regarding who goes first is up to you or the trader, either through kik, pm or forum post
Thanks. I did my first trade a few days ago and even though I read the first post on that thread, I was still a little confused.
We each traded eleven items. I did put up the one wheat. Then I put up ten of what I was selling, followed by the remaining one. The other trader did the same. Just wanted to be sure that is acceptable as opposed to putting each of the eleven items up individually.
Thanks so much for the help!
If you check out the first page of the trading thread for mining and expansion items, there is a helpful hints section. But it does not answer all of your questions, so here goes (not in order, and with additional info).
1. The person with he highest HayDay level goes first. I don't know why, but that has been the convention for a long time.
2. Typically people sell up to 10 at a time, so if you're selling 17, you'd do one batch of 10 and one batch of 7. If you're nervous, you can ask if the other person will do 10 from you then 10 from them, then back to your farm for your last 7 and back to their farm for their last 7 (assuming you're trading 17 of your stuff for 17 of theirs). It takes longer this way so some people won't want to do it. And in my experience, no trade has ever gone bad because somebody didn't do their part. The only bad trades were when someone had an issue with their system crashing, which they made good later, and when some random person bought the trade items before the trading partner could, which is why you do the following:
3. Always put 1 wheat for sale for 1 coin in the last slot of the shop first and wait for your trading partner to buy it. That way you know the right person is there. Put your trading items up for sale and wait to make sure the right person buys it. Be sure you do not advertise the wheat or your trading items, and ideally you won't have placed an ad for a long time before the trade. After the first half of the trade is done, proceed to the other person's shop and repeat the process, including starting with 1 wheat for 1 coin in the last slot (often called"wheating up").
4. Get your whole deal worked out ahead of time: who gets how any of what, price, who goes first. Communicate after the trade so everybody agrees it went as planned. A simple thanks works fine, and has you back to pm or kik, so that you see the other person's message if they feel it went wrong.
I hope this helps, feel free to pm if you have questions or want to trade; I'm always looking for planks!
Sorry, I didn't see those replies before I posted - too windy I guess!
