I like the new layout of tabs in the town hall. The “All” tab is convenient but making it the default tabs is double work for me because I use the town hall to put the visitors in the buildings. I think the idle tab should be the default tab. I’m curious, how does everybody else assign their visitors to the buildings? If there is a different way I’d like to know.
The town is cumbersome now. The All tab as requested would have mirrored the original town hall tab prior to the October update which sorted the characters by time left and number of buildings, not the foolishness we have now.
I've taken to playing the town as little as possible and when I do have to go there, I oftentimes just tap on the individual characters wandering around town. It's way faster, although not as organized as I'd like it to be.
SuperCell did not implement the new town changes well at all.
I'm loving the upgrades but Town UI is clunky. You want to be able to quickly deploy your guests to their chosen shops. Instead I'm scrolling up and down clicking on idle tab, then scrolling again and clicking idle tab... A frustrating UI. Should be renamed UUI, unfriendly user interface. It would be good if you could sort out the queueing system too, all visitors requiring 1 shop 1st, 2 shops 2nd and 3 shops last. Just some musings for you guys to mull over. Ho Ho Ho 😃
I use the Idle tab like you to get my visitors into the buildings - then go to the Waiting tab to serve them. I don't like the way it jumps back to the All tab after doing something because you don't always expect it and I've ended up releasing visitors because of it. Agree with you that the Idle tab should go back to being the default tab. Don't understand what the All tab gives to us, but I know others have wanted it. Could they not stick it further down the line?
EDT: saying this though, I do like the new Town Hall features that SC have given us - makes releasing individual townies so much easier to do :)

I'm a Town enthusiast but my Town has become inactive and turned into a ghost town because I find the current UI very tedious.

I’m all about the town and it’s my favorite aspect of the game. The all tab being default is really inconvenient and would much prefer the idle tab be the default. I use the town hall like the op. I don’t play town any less than before and have already become used to the extra click getting out of “all”. Sure hope this is changed in next update but everything else is great.
And totally diggin the personal train pickup change!

The idle tab should be default. I'm still clicking all over the place. I have found a good system. Just go tap the send all away and head back to the farm. Kind of takes care of town. LoL

The town really was my best game source of xp, but’s its way too tedious to play now, even with the outstanding UI improvement to be able to send them home individually.
I have so ignored my town that I completely forgot to decorate it for Christmas - and I had THREE separate vignettes on my farm going at the same time. Doh!
I’m with you GM. Hope the HD heads are listening. The ‘all’ tab needs to be at or near the end. ‘Idle’ needs to be first, with ‘waiting’ second.
Same. I decided to pick up visitors so that my hoodmates may receive Reputation Points. Then I'm sending all of them back to the train station unserved. I'm hoping Team Hay Day will return from their vacations in a few weeks and address the UUI (Unfriendly User Interface). Thank you to the forumite who first coined UUI.Quote:
