“Magic” personal train picking up unlimited Townies

While this could be seen by some as a Christmas miracle, I feel compelled to report what just happened.

My personal train, which has a capacity of 10 visitors, visited a town in my NH and picked up 6 townies. I then moved on to the next town. My train should have shown a capacity of 6/10, but instead it showed 0/10. Assuming a glitch prevented me from picking up anyone from the first town, I picked up 6 more. Then 4 more from a third town, and another 4 from a fourth. I could have kept going and visited every town in my hood, but I headed back to my own town to see how many were dropped off. All 20 visitors arrived successfully at my town.

I immediatly reported it to my neighbours, who had not experienced it with their own trains. Have any other hoods seen this?

I just finished the next pickup, and it behaved normally this time. Looks like that was a one time hiccup.

Just to clarify, I opened the town hall and monitored the town population as the train unloaded: it rose from 12/42 to 32/42. I checked the list, and all 20 who arrived were seeking only one service building. The Eggspress train was not due for another 3.5 hrs. So there is no possible way that the visitors arrived on the Eggspress. All 20 arrived on the same personal train, picked up from other towns in my neighbourhood. That is supposed to be impossible, so clearly it was a glitch - one which could be abused to the detriment of other people in the NH (I took nearly all the available townies in the hood). That’s why I reported it. The glitch hasn’t repeated, so it looks like it was just a minor hiccup, but in the interest of fairness, I do hope that if it happens to anyone else, they too will report it.

This happened with me one time, but I dont know what I did differently. It was just 1 time. My train can hold up to 7 passenger. I've got 4 from the first town, then in the next my train was 0/7. So I got +3 and +4.

In the end, I received 11 townies asking for just 1 building.

But as I said before, it happened just 1 time and I dont know why.

It happened to me once as well but, notably, a few weeks before this latest update to the town. I don’t know how it happened either but I ended up with 43 of 42 town visitors. It was just that one time so I ignored it.

happens more than once for me. i like it! *selfish aura*

I picked up 19 single serve townies last night, I was doing a town task, so, I'm very happy 😊

It would certainly kill the town for my hoodies! It is hard enough getting 10. Anyone taking on extras would indeed be detrimental and reporting it is the right thing to do, thank you!

I tested it, but mine works normally too.
