Maybe Darian will be nice enough to clarify :)

What a weird mystery.....ours are definitely not by TH level....it’s almost as if there is a different criteria by clan ? Else it must be something hidden or obscure...
I think it's ordered with those that did the least amount of challenges to reach the 2000 limit shown at the top of the list (highest average points per challenge).
I specifically picked the 150 point EA/Inferno challenges whenever they came up, filling with 130 & 100 point challenges in between. I did 18 challenges to get to 2080 points and am sitting at the top of our leader board.
Others in the clan have reached 2000 points both before and after me, but I know they've been doing the lower point value challenges as well.
Its just random leaderboard after reaching 2000 points.
From what I saw the first round is that it may be the efficiency of how you got to 500. Or in this second round case 2000
So if player A did 5 separate 100 point challenges then player B did 3/150's and 1/50. Player B makes the top.
lol. where exactly did i mention about getting higher rewards? we all know it does not matter but still a random listing of players dont make sense. im almost certain that it will get fixed sometime soon or they purposely ignored it as they are looking to implement some legit leaderboards for clan games. darian himself has confirmed the leaderboard thing.
so no one knows, then. It's definitely not clan rank nor who finished first. I don't think it's number of challenges, unless it puts you higher for taking MORE challenges. My nine just leapfrogged my 10 and my 10 did it quickly with high value challenges.
Will sc ever answer this lol
Final sum up of this it is based on the time you have been there once you get the 2000 points, if you leave and join back you lose the place and will go back to being the bottom of the 2000 club
This is really not important and non-value added topic to be discussed as it gives nothing to the top 3 players and I don't hope they will give more rewards to the top 3 players in Clan Games.
I am not sure how they decide the top 3 players, but in my clan there is also players asking the exact same questions.
I think it will be better for SC to remove the ranking for the Clan Games. It just another useless thing such as best attack or best defense in the Clan War.
We all know the deciding factor is not so accurate kn clan overall scheme and someone will always complain about it. Remove it
Agree with silver that it is not important in the overall scheme of things. My curiosity was still piqued and my conclusion based on my clan ranking is that it tagged to who started and later came into the clan according to sequence. I may be wrong but it seems like the case for my clan. Let me know if the pattern is similar for u guys. Thanks
(The positioning in my clan for anyone with 2k points does follow their position in my clan. So as someone did point out, it's prolly based on trophies.)
Edit...
I stand corrected. It was pure coincedence. Someone just finished 2k and walzed right between two clanmates were he wouldn't belong according to his positioning in the clan.
So yeah, as others did point out... not rank, meh.
Every once in awhile...learning how they code things such as this gives some insight on improved ways to play the game. Not saying that is going to be true here...but if no one ever asked about how people are ranked in war, war weights would have never been discovered? Probably a bad example as war weights lead to engineered clans...but knowledge is usually a good thing.
It’s not like a race to see who gets it first, it’s a clan effort to get rewards. It happened to me but idc cos we managed to get 30000 points and get all the rewards
Idk but you but it seems like when I maxed out my cap I stay no.1. The other rankings change every time though.
in my coc contact us button remove why
My guess on this is that it is based on your total points earned. There is a cap on the points you earn, but you can exceed the cap with the last challenge you complete. In the last games I hit 1980 points and then did a 200 point challenge. It will only showed I earned 2000 points still. Hard to confirm this, but makes the most sense. You could still have some ties in there too.
After participating in all clan games and completing all, we are still puzzled as to what actually puts you in 1st place. It is not based on trophies. It is not based on seniority. It is not who started first. It is not who earned the most points total. Yes, it is a team effort, but in our clan, and others im sure, we are all competitive and try to beat each other to 1st. Problem is... we havent all stayed first. So, that being said... what actually constitutes 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Only thing at this point we think is who finishes first with the exact amount? Our first place now in this game finished at 2550. I was in first(2700), he knocked me to 2nd. I started the games first and completed first. We are baffled. Anybody know?
Guys i think i have a clue of how they rank it... i rank 1st for the third consecutive time after the game. It has nothing to do with your position in d clan, not about trophies you have but i think on how you deal with the challenges... you have to choose and complete d most difficult challenges with higher trophies or medal value...and here’s the secret...complete every challenges with minimum value of troops (gold, elixir& de). What i do is used my king and queen only to get things done...i just boost them with 5gems each and thats it. I think this is pretty sure the answer for all of your questions. From this last clan games i finished almost 2nd to the last but still i rank 1st. Give it a try guys...
It is probably random, BUT I think....
It's by amount of challenges completed. For example if player A got 2500 points by completing 20 challenges and player B also got 2500 points but completed 21 challenges, then player B would be in the #1 position.
It is the amount if points that is extra
I've seen many counterexamples to the excess points theory and know it isn't true.
Also many counterexamples to the theory that it's based on trophies.
I haven't seen any counterexamples to the idea that it's based on how long it has been since you *last* joined the clan. I base this on the observation that the first time I maxed out I was ranked first. Now, I hadn't been with the clan the longest by any means, but a few weeks prior we had had a family clan war but I couldn't participate so I stayed behind, while all the other coleaders/long-timers went over to that war. That ordering held up for two clan games despite 10 ppl maxing. Before the last clan games I hopped out to visit a friends clan, came back later on, and now the next clan games I was ranked near the bottom of the maxers (and the only guy below me was a recent join).
POSITIONING IN CLAN GAMES IS SIMPLE. IT IS BASED ON TIME SPENT IN COMPLETING ALL CHALLENGES BUT NOT INCLUDING THE TIME INBETWEEN CHALLENGES.
=Sum of All time Spent between each task started and each task completed.
The lower the time, the higher you will be positioned.
Note: Buy me Gems. I solved your Ego Problem that wants you to be ranked higher than your own clan mates. 😂
