I cant believe it! Visited a shop today, from the newspaper, and was taken aback as this shop had 152 slots, all filled with items for sale. How on earth can that be? Either the farmer has zillions of friends or zillions of diamonds ! Anyone else seen such a wealthy farm?

Generally the maximum number of slots you can have earned from friends is 17. After that you have to have 253 or something ridiculous for another one to open up. And since Game Center puts a limit of 500 friends in it's app, I think it has bee determined from another thread that any more than that come from diamonds.Quote:

I am not an expert on this, but there is a thread somewhere where someone thought the requirement of 41 friends for another slot was high and others posted that their next slot would take well over 200 new friends.
I commented on one like that a couple of days ago (might even be the same one!) and I just noticed that that person has unfriended me. LOL!!! Must have been a Forum reader. I didn't say anything bad, I just wondered how any one farmer could fill a shop with as much stuff as that one had.Quote:

Yes, I run across them now and again and my eyes bug out every time.
Usually, they are very high level players who've accumulated all those RSS bins both through the masses of friends they've made during their long playing time playing and through paying diamonds for them, whether earned or bought. By that point in the game, there's not much use for diamonds except to buy bins and speed stuff up, so even if they're not purchasing the diamonds, they've still likely saved a healthy pile to spend.
I often see many of these high level, large RSS players doing an awful lot of wheating, so with the big barn they must have by their level, they can store a lot of the items they produce as well as the masses they find while wheating. Then a sudden dump and our eyes are rolling on the floor in shock at the bounty.
The largest RSS I've ever come across had 214 bins, all filled with wheat.
Yes, I kind of hijacked that thread and it ended up being an entire data collection of those of us stuck at 17 bins. It doesn't happen to everyone, just some. It was all forwarded to Technical Support but I'm afraid the Rep who originally helped me didn't quite understand the situation, so I had a bit of an time getting her to understand, which she never really did. It ended with her putting it in for investigation by the Tech team, but that was months ago and I've not heard back.Quote:

By friends, I mean anyone who shows up in the friend bar, no matter they are from FB, GC (both in yellow frame) or the farm you follow (blue frame).
There are FB groups of player with more than 4000 members, it is not surprising for those addictive players to have hundreds neighbor. In fact, I seriously doubt that Hay Day recruit players mainly via FB than GC.
That's not the way it worked for me. I had those numbers, or similar, for a while. I was asked for 178 for bin 17 and 300 for 18, which I've still not gotten and gave up on. I'll pay if I need more as that's waaaaay easier than having over 500 friends. .Quote:

I can't even fathom scrolling through the RSS of 4000 friends...boggles the mind. Time consuming that and I'd end up with carpal tunnel from all that scrolling. It sure would up my chances of finding tapes, though. :)
You can't buy friends with diamond, so if you use diamond to add extra slot, you still need the same amount of friends to gain next slot. Recently I get to have 118 fr at the same time (I paid attention to track how many friends I need for the next one). Once the slot unlocked, it asks for 100 more (to get to number 218 from 118).
Pick a number, for example, 218. That means you should have 218 icons in your friend bar to unlock the bin. If you have less (let's say 200), then you will see "Need 18 more friends to unlock)". This message is influenced by your friend bar and if Hay Day has issues to retrieve friends from FB/GC at the launch of the game, the number changes in real time. if you add all your Friend in GC and the number of fr needed + 1 (Greg) + number of farm you follow, probably you find one of those numbers listed.
By the way, what I got is from 1 year ago and could have been changed. Just wanted to share.
EDIt: my friends are gone, there are Greg + 3 followed farms = need 215 new friends -> total 219 required. (17 bins now, included at least 1 with diamonds)
