Yes, especially the sugar and dairy. I also use the to hire Tom. You can load up on shovels and get more diamonds from the mine.
Definitely expand your production slots, and as noted, specifically on sugar and dairy. And the feed mills. That way you keep producing the quick and often-used items constantly.
Lots of good advice already!
I agree that spending diamonds on production slots is best, if for no other reason that is the ONLY way to get them. Everything else you get with diamonds (aside from some decorations) can be achieved some other way.
I would target dairy and sugar and feed machines first. After that, you can target the machines you use a lot, or just spread it around evenly as you get more diamonds.
I also agree that if you are going to use Tom, spend a few trips getting shovels. They have a higher chance of digging up diamonds to repay his cost.
Tom is always good bet :).
Tom sleeps for 2 hours in between runs. You pay for time that he is not usable.
Why have I never thought to use him for diamond rings before? Especially since Platinum ore seems to be in serious lack of supply for me lately :( Come to think of it, so have shovels! I think the only time I've ever used Tom is when he was free for those first couple of days (or something like that), I may just start utilizing him more, especially when he's holding that little discount balloon! :DQuote:
But that doesn't make him a bad deal, IF you know what to ask for. spending 15 diamonds to get 9 diamond rings every two hours, 8-10 times is a pretty good bargain.
Yeah, I mean, if you're going to ever make more than 15 rings, it's a much better deal to use him once and get 50+ rings instead.
I used to just ignore Tom completely, but he is pretty invaluable later on in the game. Jellybeans take 20 hours, even with mastery. Almost an entire day! But Tom can get you one every 13 minutes, and you can even keep your jams!
yes use tom to get diamond rings, jelly beans, suckers, shovels and blackberry jam.
The rings, jelly beans and suckers yield the highest XP, and the shovels yield more diamonds.
as for the machinery, open up ONLY as many slots as it takes to cook the item that take the least amount of time over a 24 hour period: for example, it only makes sense to open up 4 jam spots because it takes apple jame 5.5 hours to make (4 X 5.5 = 22 hours).
