Personally when I don't need my cake oven / ice cream maker I will often throw in a cheese cake / strawberry ice cream. Both take 4 hrs to make and will add up a bit towards those masteries. However it doesn't damage your stock as much producing 4 hr cheese cake and strawberry ice cream.
