Can we add this?

So you know how can you attach your Skype and some other websites no one uses anymore to your forum account?

Can we add discord to that, since it's a website people use and it can be quite helpful if you want to contact them in another way than the forums.

I doubt this is possible. The forum runs on a standard vbulletin platform with few or no plugins wanted by SC - so the only functionality it can possibly have depends on what the vbulletin version it runs on can do. If people want to be in contact with you, I’m sure they’d provide you that contact detail if you asked them, so I don’t really see a need for it.

I don't see a need for the ASL and the MSD ones to be honest...


And, I think if you can turn them (ASL, MSD) on, wouldn't discord be sitting next to them for a switch

You’re welcome to google the vbulletin user guides for yourself to see what kinds of customised sophistication it is capable of (the answer is “not much, beyond changing up a limited range of out of the box defaults”). I haven’t looked re ASL and MSD but it’s probably possible to turn off that whole widget they sit in (globally, for all in any defined user groups), but nigh impossible for anyone but vbulletin themselves to add further choice to the range of things that can display in the widget, if those aren’t already there in the out of the box version (in which case they’re usually set default on for all user groups). I can tell you it doesn’t work like the big set of checkboxes with a wide range of choice you’re imagining - most of this kind of software doesn’t.

Seems like a good idea, hope it is supported by vbulletin.

We can't add it to the "messaging" areas (nor delete anything from there), but we can add custom items to the "additional information" section of your profile.

I have added one there now for Discord Server.

Not quite what was being asked for, but the best we can do at the moment.

Could that be changed to Discord ID? The ID is how you find someone on Discord, and the server is like a forum in itself.

I can change that this evening.

I've never really used Discord, so didn't quite understand.

A good compromise :)
