Am i being dishonest ??

Every so often I like to look through the DD & see whats on offer. If I'm not in need of anything, I tend to look for cheap products ( come on every bodies got to make a living some how). Anyway back to the point I'm trying to make.
Ive just come across someone ( level 42) who was selling stuff really & I mean really cheap! Eg- B&E x4 50 coins,
woolly hats 20 coins, 3 yes 3 jars of jam 120 coins. I was that surprised I just bought it all. YES I've just raided someone's shop for the very 1st time. And they still filled up , once again with very cheap stuff.

So I'm now asking my fellow friends & followers, would you have done this ?

Oh and I've now added them, so I can follow. I feel I want to call them up and say nooooooooo , put your flipping prices up!

For heaven's sake, NO. Cut yourself a little slack. There isn't anything dishonest about buying things from someone's shop. It's for sale, they set the price, and you bought it. End of story.

The ONLY way I'd consider it untoward is if you were to monitor a trade thread, and wait for a friend of yours to initiate a trade, and then go to their store with the express purpose of grabbing the item you know they are putting out for someone else.

Anything less is just game on.

I wouldn't worry at all. I sometimes list things very cheaply because I can afford to and it doesn't bother me at all if people grab the stuff. I would expect a level 42 player to know what things are worth so I would assume it's their choice.

If it's in the DD....buy...buy...buy..;)

Not everyone sells things to make money, some people just need to reduce numbers in there barn and some players don't play for money at all, just for the fun of it. If it's in the paper and you see it and you want it...BUY IT!!!

Nah, I would buy that stuff in an instant... Not that I need the coins, more like it could be goods some of my friends or followers could be looking for... At level 42, they should be a bit more clued up with their prices...??? But then again, they most probably don't need the coins either...

I agree, I sometimes buy stuff like that from the DD and use it to help boats. If it is a lower level player I buy to help them with coin.

I buy it all up...unless you knowingly steal a trade as someone mentioned, I consider everything in a shop to be fair game. I do put up cheap stuff in my shop too, like 11 coin BEMs and for many items I am below max.

As long as its not a trade going on (you witness the single wheat being purchased and then an item right after it) then go for it. Do you go to any department or grocery store and feel guilty about buying something at a low(er) price?...Didn't think so.:cool:

I mean, others have their own times to quickly navigate the newspapers to find their own surprise. The DD... well, you can just take everything and, well, leave! I don't see why not. Frankly, I do that often, too, when there are those sales to charge your barn with.

PS. Sorta off topic but also sorta fitting in, when you sell something good, lets say strawberry icecream or fish burger or cream, it often takes more than 30, YES, 30 seconds for somebody to buy the stuff?!?! Has anybody else noticed how freakishly long it takes for people to buy goods, or is it just me?!? Possibly it's just the time to get it into a newspaper, I dunno.

I'm impressed that you even noticed the prices! I'm so frantic about finding goodies like that that I just click away and buy the darned things! My daughter's real good about spotting the huge deals, but not me. Clueless and happy to find the items like 3 JAMS. Way to go!!

Yes! I certainly have. Where is everyone? lol. The turnaround used to be pretty quick (quicker than it is now).

Nothing dishonest about what you did. I've bought some premium items sold for a really low price at times and turned around and sold them for max price.

Now I sell some of my items for a low price. If the person that bought it turns around and resells it for max price I say go for it.

I am at level 43 and sometimes sell stuff that cheap too. It depend on if I really need the money and stars to level up I will sell for full price or if I need to make room in my barn for the boat I will sell thing cheaper.

No, I don't think so. People who sell cheaply should only expect the stuff to be sold quickly, right? Anyway, I mostly sell stuff very cheap, just to get more free space in my barn and silo. I'm still relatively fresh in this game, on level 31, and haven't yet got to expand my silo/barn so much. I don't mind getting "raided", not at all.

I have noticed this. I have a stall full of jame, cakes, land and building stuff and I find it takes ages to sell. I was selling land deeds the other day and I ended up having up to advertise twice. Has anyone noticed that stakes and mallets are getting very hard to sell? They just sit there.

CheddarLimbo I agree 100%, it seems the seller definitely wanted their items purchased especially considering they had set an ad in the DD, so there you have it.

HappyHelen you happened to be the person who bought everything, if it wasn't you then it would've been someone else :p...like me! ;)

Yes, what was super ridiculous was that I advertised only one item, 5 strawberry icecreams, and people who came only bought the eggs and corn bread and juices. I was like, wha? None of those people were my neighbors.

like some others above I sometimes sell cheap when I need to make room in bard quickly. Then other times max price if saving for machine.

it is all swings and roundabouts

I've been selling my wheat 10 for 1 coin because I'm trying to get rid of it so I reduce what's in my silo. I'm trying to get LEM by wheating so I'm glad when anyone buys it!
