With the new thing about the seeking air bomb costing gold, everyone will have them. The healer is gonna die immediately. Unless you have 3 healers, but that takes up so much space.
Also, on a separate note, holy ♥♥♥♥ my DE is so done with the spells now costing elixir.
Also I wasted so much time upgrading hogs :( I shouldn't have done that
Hogs only lost 5 DPS, I don't understand why everyone thinks that that will put an end to them. The healer part I completely agree with
Calm down. We still don't know how much gold it will cost, it could be something very expensive and they will be just as common.
I don't think healers have been good for a while now.
Healers will still have their uses with air meat-shields, although they maybe much more scarce now. And with the seeking air bombs, maybe they might be set for TH7+ because they are 600 DE at the moment.

They're decreasing the loot bonus for lower town halls in order to balance out spells costing elixir. Might be a sigh of relief to know this but I'm now wondering about town hall players of the same level of ours (TH 9's and 10's). Since there's no penalty against them perhaps they will just start lightning each other since elixir is expendable.
As for hogs, I really don't think the update is going to hurt hogs too much. Even with the hp decrease and bombs setting off faster they should still be common for trophy hunters.

Why use healers anyway? I find them rather worthless, I will still just do giants and archer... But I'm farming so maybe not if your cup pushing :)
I can't remember the last time I was attacked by a healer army. I use a healer/giant army some times and the extra AD released from the update some months ago made it more difficult to use them. Maybe the lower town halls do see a lot of healer action though.Quote:

Healers are mostly used by DE hunters I think, Unity Sharp showed them to be extremely effective at allowing giants with a few wizards for backup to punch into the core of almost any base. I will almost certainly be setting up all my seeking air mines to guard my DE against healers or dragons now, and I think pretty much all strategies involving healers are going to run into major issues once this update comes out. Dragons may survive, especially as an overnight build, as they can be paired with a lot more spells per attack now without cutting onto gold profits.
I would not be surprised if the number of healers built per day drops by 80-90%.
I use 36 wiz, 4 healers. Always gets to the core before any ad can take out the healers.
I would be interested in seeing videos of that, it is a very expensive and time consuming army, but for most Th8s and later stage Th9s the cost isn't an issue and it could be an interesting army to build overnight.Quote:

Sorry, I wasn't very specific. I use that as an army for whenever I know im gonna be off for an hour and a half. It works amazingly, especially against low level/ not well defended ad. The only problem i ever have is when the wiz split. So I make sure that doesn't happen. And yes, it can take out a midways th9 and all you do is pour in troops in a strategic position for amzing replays.
I still wont spend 20k on a giant bomb. If they lower it to 10k I might consider it....might ....Quote:

I just dont understand the logic behind the change. If there is a shortage of DE, add a level to the pumps.
The only way this would make sense to me is if they are coming out with a new bad ♥♥♥ DE air until and want to get ready for it. Gold is sparse as it is, why make more things cost gold - spells consting elixer is the right change. They shpuld make the air bombs cost regular elix, not gold
I agree that seeking air bombs will kill healers if they are in every base. I just pray that Supercell isn’t ♥♥♥♥♥♥ed and keep the insane cost of seeking air bombs when converting the cost to gold. Then the price would end up towards 40k gold for 1 seeking air bombs and I would think a lot of players won’t use them and they would more or less stay as they are now just with a gold cost instead of DE.

Lot of players underestimate healer + giant + wiz combo's. I take three healers, 12 wiz, and 10 giants with me, a few breakers and the rest archers.
Try taking down wizards that are healed continously. More than once taken down maxed th9 bases with this combo.
Air bombs won't make a difference, no one puts all bombs in one spot so by the time healers are taken out the bases is seriously damaged.
I dabbled a bit in giant-healer-wizard... but I found it to be inconsistent and stuck to mass dragons as an overnight army, which while being expensive is extremely easy and fail-safe to use. I dunno if mass drags is going to be in jeopardy because of the new abundance of seeking air mines, but I suspect that me being able to bring alone three rages will help a lot.
You worry about healers when everyone esle worries about Dragons and Balloons :rolleyes:

You think seeking mines kill your healer strategy, but some people this is huge advantage. It also generally makes bases tougher to crack.
You also may have not noticed, but there is going to be a reduction in loot bonus for lower ths. Meaning you lose less when zapped.
There are so many people complaining before every update 😱

healers arent dead. I never stopped using them. giant/wiz/healer. Healers are awesome for giant and wizard groups.
Two seeking air bombs on a map would be a problem though. I only bring 2 healers. Thank goodness we have a heal spell.
