Hi there,
We are matched against a clan full of engineered bases, all of which have only air troops (Lavaloon and dragons) upgraded to maxed lvl. What do you think is good to defend a classic LavaLoon Attack? Single inferno or Multi-inferno mode?

Hi there,

Really is dependant on how your base is built.
Both single and multi have huge advantages Vs Lavaloon!
I current have one on multi and one on single and it does really well Vs air... but sometimes I get thumped silly by Bowlers :/
I have a couple of TH10 base layouts with 1x single, 1 x multi, they do great against most attacks and regularly get me defences against TH10, and sometimes hold th11 to 1 or 2 stars depending on their skill levels.
PM me bhargav if you want to take a look at them in action against laloon
As a 'general' guide, I'd suggest watching this video about Infernos (single v multi) :-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o56ElGpmNcw
The first attack (and third) in the video shows why NOT to use single Infernos v Lavaloon
Hope this helps!
I would always go multi v single against loon attacks with the blowers positioned so that the loons are kept as far away as possible for as long as possible.
Agreed that the multi is better for the loons, but if defending against dragons, the single is better.
I use laloon as my goto war attack when air required, and am happier facing single fernos, but will take a freeze for the multi.
I always set mine up 1 and 1 to get the best of both, also I have bases which blow balloons away from a central opposing bank of 2 sweepers, and variations of the teaser encouraging the placement of the main attacks where I want it to start, usually ending up as a defence for me in multi.
I would always go for 1 of each with a good base design
Yes, singles kill the hounds, but they’re oh so vulnerable to the real danger, the loons.
Multi mostly best. You can however use a single IT on the side that seems best value for a KS, to protect your Q, CC, ADs.
I would go multi.
But also... make sure you tune up your bases. These lava-spam clans used to lure, and we'd put 25 arch and a baby in each CC, and that was enough to win the war by itself. And this combo is good against drags. The lava-spammers seem to have switched to not bothering to lure at all and just poisoning, so I'd consider full drags as an alternative. There's still some value in lots of little troops as they'll sometimes split if 2 AD inside CC radius are attacked.
And if you place your AD correctly you can make pure air attacks a nightmare for them. It's a lot harder if they do a kill squad first, but from your description they sound like they'll be spamming the troops. And since you know how they are attacking, you can defend very strongly if set up right.
both single to kill lava quickly by keeping one ad each near both the infernos (but need a good sweeper positions to blow loons sideways)
but ur base will be vulnerable to bowitch giving away 3* often if both are set to single
