Whilst in theory this would seem possible, has anyone managed this and if so how long did it take?
saw a post from oct of someone hitting 700+ gems on their way to this goal.
I foolishly wasted some gems early on, before realizing their true value.
currently sitting just below 500 at TH7, Lvl 52.
Someone on my clan just did it. He said he has been playing since Oct. He is the top 'donator' in our clan. He was doing it so that he could get the achievement 'Friends in Need' which nets 250 gems at 3 stars.Quote:

I paid $5 for the 3rd builder but purchased the 4th builder using the gems from achievements. I have about 200 gems at the moment. I started playing in October or so, so if you go with zero $ spent it might take you 4 or 5 months to get the 4th builder.
Completely doable. I'm on my way toward it now.
Started during the Halloween event and am currently at around 700 with several achievements available to get me very near if not over the top. Clearing debris feels like the lottery to me :)
That 5th builder without gemming is the real challenge:p

I am slowly inching my way towards this goal.Never spent only and I don't plan on it. Currently at 150 gems
I spent $5 on gems and I managed it, guess you could say I didn't really achieve it technically but I now have 600 gems so I would have eventually... 4 builders is nice.
Only took me until level 70 to "earn" (at least, not buy) 1000 gems!
It very possible, at 726 now and started in November. Haven't used a gem on anything other than the tutorial. The major achievements that will help me now are the donation and defending the base ones.
it's doable - I'm level 57 playing since late November and sitting at 740 gems. Only 12k of troop donation to go, which will be done in 1 month :D
im at 758 gems not yet getting the 3rd star friend in need. spent abit of gems early on but generally it just takes as much time to finish friend in need achievement somewhere around level 70 or so.
I'm level 66 after the artificial boost and drop due to level glitch. Started end of oct, now 950 gems. Give or take 2-3 gems per day from bushes + achievement, conservatively will be getting the 4th builder in 4th month of playing.

my achievement for friend in need is
donate 5000 clan castle capacity worth of reinforcements and rewards is 100exp and 25 GEMS only..
?? hmm??
That's the requirement and reward for completing the second star. To get the third star you donate 25k and get 250 gems.Quote:
