Just unlucky or something fishy?

Three days ago I moved my Teslas and some other defensive structures to two areas of my base where 95% of attackers were starting their Queen walk with the goal of taking out my Eagle Artillery which they would often succeed in doing.

Since I made that change I have had 6 attackers starting with the Queen walk but miraculously all of them started their attack on the very opposite two corners farthest away from my set trap. If it was only 3-4 attackers that avoided the setup trap area with the Tesla’s etc, I would be more inclined to believe that this was just a weird coincidence but 6/6 attackers makes me feel like some players might have a hack that allows them to see others’ base not in scout view but just as I or someone in my clan would see my base. Anyone experience this?

You say "I moved my Teslas and some other defensive structures" without really mentioning those structures. Are you certain that you haven't simply forced them to take a different strategy for attack? This makes more sense than some widespread hack.

I meant to write other “hidden defensive structures” as the Tesla i.e. giant bombs, air/ground mines.

Thanks for pointing this out cause you are right, if the attacker sees visible defensive structures in one area, logically they would avoid that area and be forced to change strategy.

Assuming you moved nothing else i.e. You didn't shift stuff to make room for the traps such that someone might guess they are there, it does seem strange. But i really doubt it's a hack. Probably just luck.

I am pretty sure it's not modding. They have to attack your base to know where the traps are. So unless they were all from the same clan they didn't know. I know I feel the same way sometimes. Like someone else said, it probably changed the best way to attack.

It is possible they were using third party apps to see where your traps and teslas are placed as it certainly does happen and there is most definitely software out there that allows you to do this at least it was able to do so previously. If that is what players attacking your base are doing it is a very high risk strategy on their part as supercell can detect this software and periodically sweep their servers to detect it, if they get caught using it the ban is permanent!

Whilst its possible I actually suspect it is more likely an example of Sod's law in action. You get attacked in the same place frequently so change your base around to combat this only for the next 6 players by sheer bad luck on your part manage to avoid your traps! I would stick with it as eventually some poor mug will land in your trap and you will then get the enjoyment of watching him panic during the replay!

Players can't see your traps, but they can definitely use logical thinking to predict where your traps will be? For example, if you have a 2x2 empty space, they will probably suspect either a Tesla or a Giant Bomb, the first one being the most likely since you want to protect the Eagle Artillery. Using this logic they can start their Queen walk somewhere else where there aren't any spaces that indicate traps. Make the Teslas less obvious, such as placing them OUTSIDE your walls, so they have a smaller chance of predicting it.

If you have the Artillery you are a TH 11. I'm assuming players like you will need logical thinking for traps and other things, so be tricky. Reverse psychology works too. But again, good luck...
