Care to show me where he said that? I met him on global atleast 5 months ago, and he was in champs with a quite highly developed base...

It is the insanity that draws me here. I feel the need to offer counter points and opinions lest it infect the innocent who may recieve it as gospel.
If these were spoken words this point would be valid, however this is written and can be reviewed at will.
If you read the context of the early pages of the thread it's clear to see Steve is referring to the criticalness of the bug in reference to how it affects it's users in game - the time lag of upgrades. Namely the OP's point & the general audience.

View it at your own will it was merely a response to your (what I would deem nonsense) meme.
Seeing as the majority tend not to backread 87 pages (I don't blame them) I believe there's a lot of truth in that.
Hate to quote myself but you left out the edit 40 minutes prior to your post.
If it is clear to you I may need to borrow your glasses as I see the context spanning multiple threads on this bug and Steve reiterating SC's evaluation of the bug.
And omg arguing about Steve's village is insane but please reference the time this occurs in the 15 minute long video if you wish to offer it as evidence to a frivolous argument.
I agree with your edit. However it's difficult to ignore the fact that the bug benefits SC, whether they deem it critical or not. Of course people still play with the knowledge of the bug, but I myself would deem it critical enough to need fixing as soon as it becomes viable.
The OP of the thread is to discuss the "Builder Timing Lag" & Steve has reiterated that SC do not feel the bug is critical.
As I said earlier -
The thread was not made to discuss the fact that the bug doesn't make the game crash or whatnot. Take note of the thread title & general audience.Quote:

Exactly how much of a profit are they really making from it? I wouldn't imagine that it is a lot. Those that are hardcore gemmers tend to gem things instantly, not wait a while and the gem it. Certainly not long enough for the bug to have any meaningful effect. They aren't getting it from troops because again those tend to be gemmed instantly.
Plus, it is ridiculously easy to get gems in the game without buying. I managed to save up 720 gems within 5 months, and only about 100 of them total came from achievements if that.
They are certainly making a profit, but would fixing it really hurt their profits at all? They make over 1 million dollars a day from their 3 games combined. Even if we assume 5% (a very generous assumption) of that comes from the builder time bug and take that away, it is still a ludicrous amount.
I can't imagine it would be hugely significant figure but that's not the point. The fact is that they aren't fixing it & thus aren't losing anything by doing so; they are in fact gaining. No matter how small the profit is it is still beneficial. Convenintly for them the bug is a "tough fix" which I wouldn't be surprised at all.
Now if another bug which had the same level of impact on their playerbase was present & was causing them to make an equally small loss, then I'm sure it would be their #1 priority on their list of fixes.
The bug remains & by not removing it they are not losing anything. If the above (2nd) scenario was true the bug's fix would be old news.
Wouldn't customer satisfaction get them more money in the long run? Pissing off your customers with a bug like this for 1.5 years can't possibly be good for customer satisfaction, even if only the forum knows about it. I'm sure there are enough people who are not buying gems simply in protest of this bug. Then again, the forums aren't exactly that big.
Okay so is there anyway of fixing this bug ?
