Giants attacked the core and the wallbreakers got them to the wizard tower

But by that time they were getting hit by all defenses in the core and died pretty quickly (only level 4 giants, but 5 or 6 probably wouldn't have done much better)

All other troops went around as planned and were eventually killed by the mortars and cannons

Didn't need to protect the DE after upgrading my BK, so i changed my base to use the core we decided on and a middle layer that is slightly different than spar tens'. I didn't want any resources in that layer so gobs would go around. The outer i just threw together and ill probably revise it later this week

Good idea to leave the defense ring without resources to keep them goblins away. Sure, you lose some protection to some resources, but keeps the other stuff better protected.

Only problem with this core is that now that spells r more likely to b used (as they r now made out of elixir) a single rage will cover the entirety of this core, leaving it vulnerable to raged gobs. Saying that, i will probably need to change my own base lol

As moocow said about the spells covering the core, how could we change the design to defend against it?

I'm testing a couple cores atm. Im using the shurikan core atm for a labyrinth base, ill keep u posted. Ill post a defence log when i get attacked

Base design needs to be rethought in light of changes in the latest update.

- Traps are now much more important, and so optimal placement of fully upgraded traps must be considered more carefully. E.g., a single fully upgraded Giant Bomb might wipe out a whole herd of hog riders (whose HP were nerfed for the second straight update), and seeking air mines suddenly became affordable and have the potential to nullify the common 2 x healer strategy.

- at TH 8, building a third gold storage is absolutely pointless, and a third elixir storage is only required for Level 3 PEKKA's ... and not a single other thing. Although perhaps a third elixir storage is useful as an added barrier (but this in turn assumes protecting elixir isn't a priority at all). So I suggest your primary design should feature only two gold storage buildings.

Im with Ashraman on that point. Running two Gold Storage is more than sufficient, although I do have a third Elixir Storage because I hate seeing the purple stuff go to waste.

I disagree....

Ashraman forgets that spreading out the gold amongst three storage units makes it hard to steal all of one's gold.
