Where are the scrolls?

I know that some items are harder to find, but the lack of scrolls is ridiculous. I was under the impression that they were suppose to be in the treasure boxes, spin wheel, and as derby prizes, but I have yet to see many at all. Having to take so long to clear land is painful. My husband is very ill with cancer and Hay Day is something that helps him pass time. He use to enjoy it very much, but of late he gets more aggravated with it, because of the lack of these special items. We do not have money to spend on loads of diamonds like many others do. We are not able to spin the wheel a million times, just to get a scroll, or to change the prizes in the derby. We have a hard enough time trying to get by on his disability. Please SC can you please try to be a little more generous with the scrolls. I know nothing will probably change, but just thought I would ask. Thanks

you are right, they are on the wheel of fortune, in mystery boxes (red and town chest in water), and derby prizes.

i understand your position and sympathize. but i would say that i cleared that land a while ago, and didn't really 'try' very hard (and not spending diamonds). i do tend to shuffle rewards once or twice, but not just for those scrolls. that would be my recommendation, since they're most likely to be found there. it's 5 diamonds to shuffle rewards, and i know i tend to find more than that 'free' diamonds per week that should keep that viable without spend. also, diamonds are often in derby rewards, so select them to 'lock' them before shuffling and it could very well pay for itself.

otherwise, there are other free ways to get diamonds. they can also be found in the mine, maybe try that more often. compete in the global events. open as many mystery boxes as you can (without diamonds)... good luck!

I agree with Flaxbee. I need still 34 scrolls to clearing all the land. I am not in the derby because I don't have the time, but the last 3 -4 weeks I found 1 scroll and that was one the weel. I am at the point I don't care any more. I love the New events and that's why at the moment I play the game more. But also that didn't gave me more scrolls.

I completely agree and have also discussed this issue in the forum. I feel for your current situation and wish both you and your husband well.

I have not gone out of my way to find the special permits, however, I got the last one I needed last derby. It does take derby participation and daily farming, though.

It’s aggravating scrolls aren’t more available. A lot of glitches and lack of scrolls is about to run me off.

Some farms have definitely gotten the short end of the stick. They are very few and extremely far between on my main farm. However, one of my baby farms - which will never be expanded in that direction - has them coming out of its ears. Seems like every other chest - when I even bother to open chests on that farm - is a permit. It is frustrating. I am holding out hope there’ll be some special event before Christmas.

I put the focus on some otter elements off the game, I am upgrading the last 2 buildings in Town. I have to upgrade each 1 time to 60%. Then that's done. Then I will master the last machines.

I know that when you don't play the derby you get less special items, but 1 scroll in the 3 weeks in relation to the time I play every day is ridicilous. I have been playing for over 4 years, so I know that hayday takes it slow........

It's been a while for me as well. Make these more frequent!!

My husband and I participate in all derbies and farm daily...it has not made a difference. The scrolls are not there and it should not be that hard to get scrolls. It really does take the fun out of the game. My fear is that my husband will lose interest in the game, because it causes more aggravation than it’s worth and that would be a shame, because it does keep his mind busy instead of thinking of his illness. My thought has always been the same....SC is more interested in making money than keeping players happy. There are those that have deep pockets and don’t mind spending loads of money on diamonds, so they can spin the wheel as often as they like and can change the prizes on the derby as often as they like. We are not in a position to do that and I’m sure there are many more who are in the same boat. Oh well, just wanted to let you know that on both our farms we do all derbies and farm quite often during the day. We open treasure boxes and there are no scrolls. Thanks

I also have not seen scrolls for well over a month. Does SC think I do not need them anymore, so they stop appearing?

First of all, I'm sorry about your husband's condition, I know how hard it can get for both of you :heart: He may have mood swings and get fixated on some ideas sometimes, and certainly frustrating game experience doesn't improve the situation. I suggest that you try to divert his attention to some different aspect of the game, like maybe upgrading th town - not easy, but doable, and comes with nice goodies from the visitors...

I completely agree about the lack of permits for certain farms. I play daily, and play actively. I participate in derbies, I open those chests and boxes... And yet, I got 3 permits in the last 3 weeks. From the derbies, actually. I don't use diamonds to open anything or for reshuffles. My free diamonds are just enough for the 10th task and expanding the production lines little by little. So yes, for some of us permits are hard to come by, I'd even say almost impossible to come by.

My personal attitude is to stay positive and enjoy helping my hoodies with their LEMs, since I don't really need them without the permits. But I understand that positive attitude may not be your husband's strong side at the moment.
Hoping that SC staff reads this thread and does some sort of expansion permits event in the near future.

It's unfair. Some need those scrolls so badly, when some of us don't care and still get loads. Tne luck of the draw.

The expansion permits are by far the worst addition to the game to date. I play multiple times a day, Every day, do the derbies (I don't care for those either!) and open every free box I can find and it has been a Month since I found one! I miss the days when every update to the game Wasn't just about selling diamonds.

The lesser spotted scrolls have been a complete fiasco. Why in a game with so many frustrations already introduce the even more desperately frustrating scrolls? Despite lots and lots of forum posts complaining, instead of releasing they were counter-productive, we get the 'so-what sanctuary' with even more almost non-existent puzzle pieces. Enough is enough! Give a scroll amnesty and put the scroll screw-up into the bin.

Scroll rates are mediocre.

They are a slow return, I've been in derby almost every week since Permits were introduced - and always accepted them when they were available in my horseshoes. Play daily also so always spinning the wheel and opening chests on my and other farms.

I have not spent any Diamonds on assisting permit collection either. I spend Diamonds on other things like decorations, Tom & speeding boats up instead FYI.

At derby end I will finally get my last one required from a horseshoe threshold.

You just have to be patient, I sympathize with your husbands condition; but do you really need that extra land yet anyway?

I've just been selling surplus LEM (Deeds especially I get so many of them) I accumulate for my permit needs to make extra coin.

Well, after placing in top 3 in this weeks derby, I was hoping to get (at least) one scroll. But nope, just the same boring stuff I got YEARS ago. With so many complaints/requests, you'd think this issue would have been addressed by now.

there are obviously differences in the way permits appear from farm to farm I even resorted to using diamonds to reshuffle the derby prizes this week and it has now been 5 weeks since I found one.

I have not got many scrolls either despite playing daily and buying diamonds. What makes me more frustrated is the lack of saws on my farm. I don’t want to have to keep hiring Tom to clear the dead wood from my farm. Come on Supercell share out the items more fairly.

I can totally understand how your hubby feels as I was in similar position being very ill 3 years ago and again last year.

Supercell does not realise actually this game can be healing as well. When one is cooped up in bed this takes over being the replacement fictional reality (ref book on Sapiens by Yuval).

That was how I found Hay Day and the farmer whistling as he goes bout the chores, the hens squawking and animals jumping at each mine explosion and satisfaction of ridding your frustrations when you kaboom the mines the list goes on not forgetting trapping the Red Devils and diamonds from new fishes and fish album wow how neat is that esp when I used to be a stamp collector

I know it’s not much but I have still pick axes and shovels that maybe bring some diamonds. Happy to keep that beaming smile of his going when playing his farm

I too have a hard time getting the scrolls! I need 3 to finish on one farm and 8 on another. I really depend on the derby rewards to get them so I can finish one farm and get the last one that needs permits before I finish the spots that don't require permits on my other farm. Can you at least put them back in the derby rewards? I worked hard on the derby and then used 25 diamonds I couldn't afford and NOT ONE permit showed.

After 5-6 weeks I have found one in a toolbox. Yes! If it goes on on this pase I will ben done in a yaer or 3. I still need 35 scrolls and nog I don't play the derby for my own reasons.

I haven't found any for many weeks now and not seen any in horseshoes either.

Was also unlucky to miss out on the WOF scrolls event due to my truck disappearing for a few days during it's time change tweek.

I only need three more to be finished so really hope they are still out there.

I need 8 more to be done. I expect i will get them by the end of 2018.

I got one tonight from a red box. I only need 7 more to go. And I'm in no hurry to finish it. It'll get done sooner or later and it's really no big deal for me. Sorry some of you are having such a hard time :(

It’s a good thing I’m in no hurry to finish opening that land. I need 18 scrolls. I’ve found 3 since last July. Soooo...at this rate it may be another 9 years before they show up. Think I’ll have retired from the farm long before then. :unsure:

i've seen them in horse shoe rewards each week on my baby farm. sometimes you need to re-shuffle if they're not there the first time. as of this moment the first column already has one in this derby.

i've also found about 3 over the course of roughly the last month i'd estimate.

I have wondered what the scrolls were for. I have won them while spinning the wheel. I don't know where mine are stored. I don't have that option under the expansion screen. I am a level 47.

The scrolls are for land expansion in the bottom left area of your farm, across the road, where there are special decorations. You’ll see how many you have if you click on one of those plots right along the road.

I agree, can we talk to powers above and get them to put them back on..
