Rename village for 500 gems great money maker for supercell + simple

basically 500 gems (£2.99) to rename your village, great if you dont like your name, you mis spelt it or have though of something better, this will be popular and help supercell earn some extra revenue to put back into the game with future updates, show your support and also problems with this thanks!

There's nothing wrong with this idea, and could be implemented quite easily. No reason why SC would reject the idea

and it would help them make more money, players be happy with new names, it doesn't harm anyone and some of the money thats made from this can be injected back into the game in the form of bigger updates :P

I like the idea but 500 Gems is way to much. Let's say only 15% of all users will do this. How about decreasing the 500 Gems to only 50 Gems? 50 Gems are not that easy but still pretty hard to get (removing trees and stuff/tasks). Because it's only 50 Gems more people will change there name (or often). This will result in more income than with the 500 Gems idea.

So I vote for change village name for 50 Gems, but I still like this idea! Good job! ;)

This is been ruled out for many reasons, including people joining back as a elders name and requesting elder because they are the real one... would mess up too many clans.... Plus read the sticky its in there too :D

Would it be so hard to implement the requirement of a unique username?

Or even a notification post in clan chat 'Username changed'

We're not talking rocket science here, just basic things which Supercell for reasons unknown are unwilling to implement.

Unique usernames would have had to have been an initial design choice. A notification post in clan chat would be useless, I'm sure you can figure out why.
