Different games, different teams, different way of doings things.

It is that simple.

Why would you want them to release updates at the same time?

As someone who plays both games, I want them to release the updates when they're ready to be released.
If they did simultaneous releases it would just mean they delayed one of the updates until the other was ready.

Each game is unique and thoughts implemented vary.. CR cards don't need much of the AI thing.. but In COC it does.. that's what makes huge difference and takes time to design AI in such a way..
I think this will be the easiest answer I can't give you ATM

More update less balance. Christmas update in CR is like if u pay u can play otherwise no new card for u.

Every game has updated for Xmas except clash of clans. What are they waiting on Easter. Or maybe they forgot it was Christmas or just don't care!!!!!

Any idea if the iphone x support will be on this update?

Well clash royale just got support for iPhone X in its update today. At least SC can push Support for it out to something. Time will tell.
