Yeah, it's doable with enough patience.
i dont think so man ! i barely got to masters and im almost a maxed th 9 besides walls ! i didnt see 1 th 8 past crystal 1 ! with hog riders , witches , golems th 8 wont be enough !
not saying dont give it a go ! but thats just my opinion :)
I beleive you could at the moment, yes. But it would require a fair amount of time and patience. I'd recommend "sniping" with 16 balloons, 4 archers, the rest minions, 1 lightning, 2 rage. That would give you the best chance of getting TH that are not really fully exposed, it's cheap, and it's only 32 minutes brew time if you do use the whole army to take care of infernos, tessla, etc (or maybe just collect more loot, where possible). I took it to nearly 2500, while "farming" elixer and DE, with level 5 balloons and level 4 minions, so I don't see why you couldn't get to 2600 if you pushed hard.
sniping will take you more or less 100k in searching, tried it lol

Good luck if you try, it's definitely possible for a TH8, but patience is key as Zach has said.
