Shop raiders

I am astounded at the number of players whining that people who are not their friends are buying things from their shops ... Raiding them! Cleaning them out! Buying all the primo products!

Well, my goodness, how dare they? Because we were saving them for our friends!

Peeps, this is a global game. If you only want to play with your own little clique, go play canasta or something. Or go back to middle school. Play or don't play, but don't be nasty and exclude SOME people who play the game. Everybody gets to play here ... That's part of what makes this game interesting!

It's a very emotive topic within this forum, and has even upset some people to the point of quitting... Unfortunately, it's one of the great divides and could be debated endlessly, that's why most of the threads end up getting closed...

A more thoughtful comment, I hope

After ranting, I realized that this is what I really wanted to say:

One of the coolest things about this game is its collaborative nature. People from all over the world are participating in a global marketplace, playing by the same rules, with equal access to resources and equal chances of success or failure. No one gets to play keep-away; no one is shut out. The game rewards tose who work together and share... which is how I wish the real global markets would work.

I would hate to see SC give in, and help create splinter groups that could exclude some players from certain resources and rewards, even if I could benefit from that.

Please don't change the spirit of the game!

I was one of those people until I read the last thread on this topic. It really open my eyes on how other people view "raiding". What I came to realize is this, once I put it for sale the item is no longer under my control.

Maybe SC should block out who buys the item, maybe not knowing is better? Just a suggestion.

this was my suggestion. It should just be a generic "SOLD" sign that shows up. period.

So much for trading. Even though trading isn't supported by Hay Day, it's clear that it's a clever user-based construct. Changing features that would prevent this would be a disastrous move for them. Unless, of course, they implemented an in-game trading feature. No mention of that, though.

Is trading not done on a "one to one" basis...?? I can't really reply, because I don't know the first thing about it, as you can see from the sig... lol. How would blocking out buyers names in the RSS affect trading...?? Does it mean if you are trading with someone, that anybody could come in and nick your goods...??

I don't trade either, haven't worked up the nerve to try it yet, lol, so my guess is probably wrong. But I would guess that they put something cheap, like one wheat, up for the person they want to trade with. If they see the right person has bought it they know they're ready to buy the actual item they want to trade. If you can't see who's bought what it could be any random person buying your wheat & not the person you're trying to trade with.

I'm sorry to say- this is the reason these threads get closed as this one will be. Your being just as "whining" (your words not mine) as you say the other posters are. Two wrongs do not make a right.

OK folks- we are all entitled to our opinions - we all play the game as we see fit, and there have been many many threads in this subject- with tons of players supporting all sides. It doesn't make any posters playing style better then other's either.

I for one am getting very tired of these judgmental threads/posts, and will start infracting accordingly. It is very easy to give our opinions without digs/sneers/inflammatory remarks. But I admit- it's extremely funny when a poster is doing it while calling others out for doing the same thing, but that still doesn't change the fact that I am going to start infracting as I see them.

And no worries for the good ideas that have been presented in this thread - they have been suggested before, great minds think alike.
