I bet you didn't complain to SC that you've attacked a TH4, clash has a food chain. TH10 wrecks th9, th9 wrecks th8 etc.
Supercell has already implemented a feature that makes it more likely for you to attack a base a TH lower or higher than you, but not two THs lower or higher below Champs, because above that anyone is fair game.
Also it is possible to raid people stronger than you, if their base design is bad...
Once you're a TH9-10 you'll find that you'd want to get easy loot from a TH below you instead of attacking the same TH level as you all the time.
Deal with it, there will always be someone who can smash you.

Valid point...by me being a th7 and having to raid 2-3 th's higher...I don't deserve trophies or loot. You make perfect sense now. Ty for For clarifying. I knew I could count on someone to be a weirdo on a forum site, thanks 👍

Matchmaking has already been improved once and will undergo another improvement with 12/15 update.
