This idea would certainly help here
2. The number of clans warring will increase because there will be more accounts to use in wars. (For example, a clan with 50 members could easily start another clan and run the same sized wars with members split between them).
Right, but why would you want to divide your community? I understand sister clans. Communities of clans with over 50 members have to split off, but this effectively reduces clan size to 25. I have 43 people in my clan. Some are alts, but pretend they aren't. We all get along pretty well and we like to chat with one another. But if we want to use these duplicate accounts, I have to tell 20 of my guys to take a hike and start a new clan. If we don't, then we lose out on the benefits and opportunities you've listed
3. Clans will do better overall and wars will be closer because those players in your clan who are good/great attackers can have more of an impact with 4 attacks each.
Yes, but they theoretically have to hit twice as many challenging bases. And you have to defend against twice as many attacks. I feel like this comes out as a wash
4. You can cover for yourself if you have a nightmare attack... nothing worse than being the top player in a war and messing up on base 1 or 2 with no one being able to cover. (This would help me somewhat!).
Right, but again, you'd have to assume 1 and 2 would be duplicated, so you'd have to be successful on 1, 2, 3 AND 4. Twice as many opportunities to screw up and leave unwinnable stars
5. You can talk to yourself in chat if you're bored :-)
I do this already, much to my clan mates' amusement when they log on :smirk:
6. You can friendly challenge your own bases with your own army strength.
This is a feature I'd like to see on its own and not convoluted with an idea that I don't feel helps with a whole lot
7. Double the fun in wars.
This point is debatable, as demonstrated in a few previous points
