Lightning rod

I was thinking that a disposable defensive lightning rod, that can be destroyed and re-purchased such as the floating mines or the spring traps would be very helpful. This would help guard against a lightning spell attack against a single storage building. Have it only take up one square if space and stage it next to the Dark Elixer storage for example.

can you elaborate this idea?
- area?
- TH lvl?
- how much can you build of?
-costs?

I was thinking having a maximum availability of 2 rods. TH level for 8 and above, and the cost would be 8, 000 gold per rod. The area would be 1X1 squares.
