Halloween event.. Once you fill your personal goals, what do you do?? And a vent .

It looks to me that the personal goals are achievable to many but a frustration to others..

with the everyone making pumpkin pies to fill their private event goal, the lack of other pie oven products comes into play, in being able to fill boat orders or truck orders let alone the visitors.

Once you gain your personal goal do you continue to make more?
do you ignore the event altogether to make other items?
do you make to sell extra?

i mean to make 3000 pies just yourself with hurry up would cost over 4 x 3000 diamonds ie 12000 diamonds. For what extra prize?

3750 diamonds in Australia costs $110.00 so would you spend over $350 to gain a position on the top of the leaderboard ?


I wonder how "the leaderboard" top people manage to get thousands of pies made or found.
The prize of five gems, compared with using four gems just to "speed" the pie up makes me wonder just how many users are actually paying for the gems or have somehow "♥♥♥♥ed" their hay day.

Often seeing the gold statues and many white swings with such a low level make me think either they have spent huge amounts of money to buy the objects or the have spoilt the game for the purists that sometimes buy gems or those that buy none at all..

I'm level 62, been playing regularly, turned over 3900000 in my farm score since I started, earnt my dogs, cats, horses vouchers the hard way..

it's a shame people resort to ♥♥♥♥ing the game somehow..

The top contributor thing has been discussed on various threads since the global event started. There are FB groups set up for donating your pies to one person etc. yes they may use diamonds but if thats how they want to play the game, fine by me. I completed my personal goals 3 hours after the event started and since then ive been giving away my pies

I finished my personal goals last night.. Will be making pies and selling them to friends that may not have reached their goals yet!

I was actually pretty skeptical about others donating the pies to one person on the fb group. Is it really that simple? In the first place I was there when the event started and within 2 secs the top contributor had contributed a thousand of them. Consider that everyone in the group live in different timezones its impossible to have gathered so many people within a few mins. Looks like maybe they would have known about the event way before it started or the top contributor may be an SC affiliate or staff. Just wondering.

It was speculated that it would be pumpkin pies after the last event ended with it being halloween so people could have started hoarding then. These top contributors all have loads of neighbours and amazing amounts of followers too (as well as probably endless amounts of Hay Day cash)

It was also announced on the Hay Day FB page a couple of hours before the event started. I managed to accumulate over 50 pies in that time after seeing the announcement by buying them from neighbours and the DD.

Being new here I don't see the need to disrupt my filling orders, earning coins, and working on my achievements to make pumpkin pies (or bacon and eggs for the last one). I make pumpkin pies if they are needed for one of my truck orders. I turned away a pumpkin pie boat.

I've been selling pumpkins in the DD (I always do) and a pie here or there, but nothing big. Last challenge with the bacon and eggs, I sold a ton of chicken feed rather than making bacon or eggs. I did enjoy the DD not being congested with egg, bacon, or bacon and egg ads.

Unless there's something I am totally missing, I am going to try to sell ingredients or feed for these challenges rather than participate. I can't complete with a large group and I am not spending diamonds on this type of challenge. The person in the lead has > 10,000 pies "donated". Too me that's like work!!

Have I totally missed the boat on this thing?

Bear had posted it over here within 20 minutes of it being on FB. But i agree, ALL avenues used by SC should get the same hints. Theres a competition on FB to win 150 diamonds at the mo too
