Need some Advice!

Hello!

I realised today the terrible mistake of having a maxed level town hall.

This is the state of my base at the moment; underleveled i know! I was tricked by the idea of having 3 dark elixer drills and the temptation for an archer queen and barbarian king proved too much.
I only found out today why all the bases I attacked have under 10k resources and was wondering if it would be worth it to push into a higher league to farm. I currently have level 5 barbarians, archers, giants and level 4 goblins and wall breakers. I haven't really attacked anyone in like 2 months because of the 1000g search fee and everyone holding 10k gold or less.

What would be an ideal league for me to join to farm some gold?
I was also wondering if it was safer to sit in silver 2 till my base is stronger so I don't get smashed by everyone?
I can just about scrape together enough gold from my mines to upgrade something everytime the builder comes off cooldown.

1: Not to be mean but why the heck would you do that? and 2: Theres nothing you can do a out it just get to upgrading things!

@Colton009 I've never read any clash of clans guides or anything up until now. Really silly of me! I had a great idea that maxing my town hall will give me extra mines and i'll be rolling in the money. I also wanted the extra dark elixir drills for my barbarian king and archer queen. Such a stupid mistake, looks like its going to we a slow grind to get my base up to scratch!

Not to worry there are lots of players who have done the same and have bounced back. It just takes a lot of patience and perseverance.

I only have a lvl 5 TH and I kind of need to know how it is bad. I'm very stressed how I'm desperately trying to get coins and better defenses so I have no idea what you guys are talking about. I actually consider you guys lucky that you have such an awesome base so please tell me what's wrong with a lvl 10 TH.

Having a level 10 TH with under levelled defences and troops makes it that much harder to progress as troops and defences cost resources. Resources that you will get less of at TH10 with the loot penalty of attacking lower level THs.

This means that to get any decent loot you have to move up to higher cups to raid other THs your level to avoid the penalty. The problem is is that being that high and attacking advanced bases with under levelled troops and defences means that you will find it difficult to steal any loot and others will have no bother stealing yours which means you'll find it frustrating saving up for upgrades.

Man, you are in trouble.

Don't stay that low. TH7 will farm you dry.

Come up to 1600 T. Almost only TH8, TH9 and TH10 there. you should be able to farm a bit. Use your archers to attack exposed TH, you should get up quickly.

Forget angels for a bit. Don't think those are the fastest for quick gold/elix.

Your priorities:
1) mortar to level 6
2) wiz tower to level 6
3) upgrade your troops for better farming. What level are your minions? Level 5 can farm you nice gold with DE that you generate a plenty
4) pink those yellow walls when you can.

You know if I lightning your DE, I can get all your ressources at once? Change your core so you split your ressources. And get your clan castle in the middle. Nothing protect better than 25 archers or 6 Wiz coming out of the castle.

@Bomba From my experience right now, all the bases that I only have like 5000 of each resources to steal! Another problem i'm having is people are stealing 300k gold and elixir off me at a time so cant save up for the big upgrades. Don't upgrade your town hall till you levelled up your base to the max!

@Blackcollector Thanks for the advice. I will be following your priority list! I've never actually considered the lightning spell! Very few people cast it on the middle. My minions are level 1. I have never tried them before, but I had a quick go and they're really good! Looks like I've been wasting time on dragons. Would it be better for me to keep my townhall outside to protect my resources and for extra shields?

The best way to save ur save ur base is by gemming your level 6 troops or spending a lot of time getting the elixir .....GIANTS..ARCH..BARBS. Also once you have your 3 xbows up, will make your defense more solid!!

Those troops are valuable in your success to raiding at th10, but good luck what ever do.
