Next needed change to speed up new players - Hero upgrade time

I didn't read all responses in this thread, but a common response to your #1 I've been seeing is that AQ at TH8 will be OP.

I've posted the following idea several times in the past that Supercell should shake up all the lower THs with a major trickle down. Give the AQ to TH8, but also give it some of TH9's other defenses like one XBow. Take some of the TH8 stuff and give it to TH7... TH7 stuff to TH6... and so on all the way to TH2. Let people spend a little more time on each of the lower THs. Maybe even give some TH10 stuff to TH9 too. Shift a bunch of stuff down while trying to maintain an offense vs defense balance. Wars are pretty stale for TH9 on down - shake things up, keep stuff fresh.

How many players would have decided not to start if they had known exactly how much upgrade time and raiding effort it takes to max going in?

I consider myself as an average gamer who does not really think about the amount of time I have to invest on a game before I start playing it. I assume that most other gamers are the same. Plus game studios does not really advertise this type of data about their game so it would be very difficult for a new player to find this out. I don't have the actual numbers to answer your question so just chalk my ramblings here as personal opinion and nothing more.

LOL - I know, it was intended to be hypothetical because I was thinking it's hard to make the decision when you start a game because time/effort information is not well known so how can someone make an informed decision?

I am curious what percentage of people would be swayed one way or the other if the information were readily available.

I feel like if, at the beginning, I knew what I know now; I would still play the game but I would definitely do it differently. For instance, I probably would not have started my own clan if I had known the time/effort required to keep it staffed with people I actually want to game with..

Didnt read all of these replies yet. But I would suggest that when you hit th9 that you can purchase a lv 5 or 10 queen. That way Supercell still makes money and the player gets a leg up. I know you can already purchase a level 1 queen and Xbow or something like that. Just make the Aq level higher at initial purchase.
