Crusher Range and changes regarding walls

On a BH raid last night a crusher did not defend when I thought it should have, my BH was standing next to a wall opening. Was the BM out of range of the crusher, or was it due to the changes regarding walls?

Standing on the corner tile of the defense next to it (1 tile away, on the corner of the crusher)

Edit: I was attacking, but still thought it was weird.

The range of the crusher was slightly reduced so that it wouldn't hit through walls. The trigger radius around it was made smaller.

The white range circle reaches into the tile my battle machine was standing (the next tile diagonally on the corner of the crusher). I would think the crusher would have still attacked my BM (other other troop), seems like a bit nerf to the crusher as it only defenses itself & not surrounding buildings.

Guess I will have to keep this in mind when I redo my layouts.

Are you facing the OverRanged issue?
