When I search for battles, I usually try and raid someone with only 250k plus. Is that too high? Should I settle for quick, 100ks or stick with this strategy?

It depends on your army. What troops/strategy are you using?

As long as you're making about 1.500 gold per troop raid it say if u use 50 troops and theirs 120,000 available raid it :)
what your TH? cause at TH7 250k+ is easy. At TH9, not so much
I would go for the 100k's because looking for 200k's is a little picky when your normally getting the same amount of gold and elixir for the same amount of troops
