Was looking for a gold lake sturgeon
Giant barb, silver, spot 3, blue lure.
already in the list but still wanted to mention it.
now i have 2 special fish complete.
the other 2 are much more difficult. :(
I can't seem to fill in any of my weights. I'm catching the fish. Well have not caught a carp this time around and that is the one I need two different ones of. The other three I just need gold. Keep getting silvers.
I think i have a new record for the Carp, 13.672! :) I actually got it last time there was a board event, so I don't remember where I got it (I think it was in area 8, but it's a long time ago so I'm not sure). All I know is that I got it with a green lure, because I have never used a golden lure.

Does anyone know where to catch a gold carp with a green lure?
edit, just saw the post of havavu.
What size circles should I be looking for? Is there a difference in the reel winding sound?
I never play with sound on, never did and never will, so can't comment on that.
Inner circle is between small and medium, it's difficult to spot especially on an iphone, on an ipad its a bit easier.
The "easiest" way to know you caught a "special" fish is to look at the outer circle.
This should move slower then with the standard fish.
But still every now and then I think I have a special fish but when I catch it it turns out I was wrong.
Hi Cindi,
I believe your question is right on the money! In my experience, I've noticed that it's not necessarily the size of the inner circle, it's how the outer ring is slower coming in- which coincides with the slower reel sound. It's not tremendous, but once you recognize it a few times, you'll know it. In fact, I stopped looking at the inner circle and now base all my judgement for the "keepers" on the sound.
Hope that helps!
EDIT: I should have mentioned that this slower outside circle information relates only to the "big" fish offered during the event. If you're looking for the prized "normal" fish, use the smaller inner circle advise many have shared...
Dito to what Bulldog said :)
