Yes, I did earlier on, and found it hard to believe as well..?? That's why I altered the value of the lures to some lower ones.

I didn't know we were collecting all the other awards either, lol, these are ones I have got today, or have been posted.. I will add them to help others while the event is on, but might revert to just gold once the event is finished..?? There is only so much room to put stuff..?? As ever, it's a w.i.p, and will see how the next few days go..

Hallo, what area did u get ur gold Giant barb? I'm still trying to get her. well caught her 4 times already but all silver, if there's a higher chance of getting her in a particular area, pls share the info. Thanks! I got a gold lake sturgeon in area 4 (blue lure)and someone else got it/him in area 5(purple lure). And I got my gold Zander in area 2 green lure. Good luck!:)

Wow, thats interesting. Unfortunately I already used up all my worm hooks. But someone on one of the 5000 threads I'm reading mentioned she had like a tonne of worm hooks and wouldn't be able to get to her colored lures till sometime tomorrow. Hope she sees your post/table. Great work you're doing. Thank you again!!

Saudi, caught her in area 6, sunken ship area. While the special fish can be caught in any area, I now wonder if the gold weights are specific to certain areas. I really wanna get the gold sturgeon and zander this time around or I might cry ;)

Saudi, funny you have the fish I still need and vice versa or so it seems. :D

Thanks for the info! I've been throwing my lobster pots into areas 5 & 6 cos they have the longest cool down time and I don't have enough lures to fish all the areas at once, lol. So in the next 5 hours, I'll be trying there constantly for lady barb.:). Hope u get the last 2. I know I'm gonna be pretty upset if I don't get mine, lol.

Lol yes, I noticed that as well

Area 5, 6 and a random one are my prefered lobster spots too, haha. I have enough, so they can wait now. ;)

I know last big fish event, most of the zanders i caught were in the area by the hut or area 7. I got all three awards for him last time, so only need the gold for barb, sturgeon and carp this time. But I did catch the gold Barb in area 6 today. Although, I used a purple lure. I've caught the sturgeon is areas 2, 3, and 5, but can't seem to hook a gold size of him. And I haven't seen a carp yet at all.

I also have found gold size for the Rudd and the Sauger so far in this event, so yay!

Congrats Muggaloo, I'm sure we can do it with about 3 days remaining. Interesting you caught your gold giant barb in area 6 too. Me too. But that is to few ppl to be sure that area 6 is a good one to try for it.

I have a problem with area 4. I forgot about it, but now that we have this event again I remember it well...I have a hard time to catch any special fish in area 4. No idea, really just for the sake of it i tried it and again and again..I have caught a special one there before, but area 4 is the one where it takes me like 30 attempts at least, feels more like 100.

Just caught a Giant Barb in the waterfall area, using a blue lure. Hee hee - sounds like Clue!

it was a silver, btw. Have also caught five Zander's since last night, using mostly green lures (one gold, darnit). In the rocky shoal areas and waterfall.
