The effects of troop AI changes

I am so sad.... Spent the first two or three wars after update thinking I was having a horrible bad luck streak... And then I started asking questions??? Why were my troop avoiding jump spell... I am a careful funneler... Or jumping into jump spell and immediately jumping back out ...there seemed to be a terrible hex on the center of every base I attacked. My AQ who has always backed my troop ... Now seems to prefer a shopping trip around the base for anything that isn't labeled Town Hall. Our clan has experienced the worst lose streak since clan wars began and the lower bases, who don't war with the higher level troop and spell the upper bases do, can't understand why ... When they star all they way up... Our TH 10 and 11 can't bring it and we lose.

Morale is low. We are not a perfect clan, but we have always been fair and our upper bases someone for the lower bases to look up to. At this point... Since Supercell isn't addressing, I'd like to ask for suggestions. I have sat my base and I love war. But, I can't figure out the new AI. It is hard to attack TH 11 with no jump spell. My bowlers are useless. My golem has it's new upgrade and valk is cooking... I am hoping they are better... I welcome any insight into the new AI...

I have been playing Clash of clans about 3 years, the game is nice and addictive, because of that I spent a lot of time playing this App: Th11 full with a BH7 5000+ trophies. Honestly I don´t like to post or participate in forums, just read the threads (Beacuse my English is rusty).

But with this situation I have the necessity to contribute to this thread and complain about the AI too, is bad (sometimes regular), troops just destroy everything before the wall and then they use the jump spell or try to destroy the wall, this make jump spells to not being an effecive spell and sometimes useless in some ring bases, even with bad designs.

I hope that Supercell staff can take this thread seriously and try to fix this problem, even if they return back the AI as it was before the last update. Is Ok for me if they recognize that it was a programming mistake (We are human after all) and not to be arrogant and put an excuse. I will be glad to give some feedback if they decide to open a thread and ask how was this new AI (I will put my best English on it).

Agreed, the ai is horrid. Wallbreakers are too hit and miss, and even when successful dropping them into a rage during a qw...she refuses the entry. Is a sad day when a dragon is the most predictable and dependable troop in the game. Wide funnels and quakes rule the day. So sad...

Key word here is "adapt". Don't get me wrong, I'm with you guys, it's just that I've been here long enough to know SC never reverses changes except only if something needs buffing or nerfing. We just "clash on!"...

Any ideas how? I started a thread with that in mind two weeks ago. Knew SC would ignore this at least for a few months, put it to the war forum experts as to how to adapt without a significant reduction in the (already low) three star rate for th10s & th11s.

I’ve tried to adapt since the update and I still don’t have a clue how to work with the AI. How can you when they are not consistent in their behavior? It’s truly like a lottery but unfortunately I never seem to have the winning ticket....

A scary thing about this new AI is when nexting (even with full bowler witch war armies) I am now nexting any type of ring base, because all I picture when deploying my golems and bowlers is them literally running around the whole base enjoying inferno fire the entire time and not getting the core. Sure its still possible to core a ring base, but your funnel has to be 4 nautical miles wide and you need to burn up many extra troop spaces in order to create that funnel, leaving your main army with less punch. Not ideal. This new AI will probably see a move to more ring style bases than compact, compartmentalised bases. This means the AI has degenerated, when one type of base will be favoured because of faulty AI. Even though this is conjecture, this is my observation after a good number of attacks in war and multi.

Clasherclash - I completely understand your reluctance to say it is easy for them to fix the AI, as how you say, the code could be a jumbled mess and fixing it could take a really long time. Well, this might very well be the answer, as Darian's avoidance of this thread can only have come from up top as they try to decide what to do. Telling us, "We're looking into it." means something is wrong, and they're checking up on it. Telling us this is how the AI is supposed to work from now on will certainly mean uproar.

So either they look incompetent (they wouldn't have a time frame for a fix or even if they could fix it), or they admit they have introduced a huge chaos factor into the AI. either option doesn't look ideal. So...? Silence. As another poster said, perhaps they think, better to let this blow over. "Eventually, they'll just adapt, as always. We know they aren't going anywhere!"

I say we keep bumping this until we get some answers...those of us that care enough about the game to post on the Clash of Clan's official forums about the game, and its nuances, surely deserve some loyalty back from Supercell in the form of answers to a really big query.

so a slightly different question... a lot of us are struggling in war, a few ppl have mentioned a long losing streak, and i know my clan has lost the last five wars in a row... so who's winning all these wars? if a bunch of us are having bad losing streaks, maybe someone is having a good win streak - we have to lose to someone!

who's doing really well, and why? how can we take advantage of the new AI in our base design? a few external defences will definitely help mess with funnel tanks, and bases with spread buildings behind the walls might help encourage troops to stay outside the walls. but what else? the weird CWL-style anti-three bases at TH9 were a nightmare this war, we couldn't catch a break...

They can't even fix/respond the TEXT MISTAKE made by them on th10 value pack as well as Builder hall 7 value pack.
can you believe? it's more than a week since it has been notified. And still, it's the same!!!

I wonder When they can't even fix a text mistake in their advertisement about value pack. How will they handle/FIX AI?
