I should try to get a screen shot....my AQ walked half way around a base (past exposed buildings) to hit a single building that was behind a wall. There were no troops or anything....I still can't figure out why she looked past 8 buildings to go hit the 9th building......
There are 3 responses for frustrated players. Most will play more and try to figure it out. Some will quit. A small segment of gem buyers will buy even more gems to get better troops and heroes. I have personally witnessed frustrated players in my clans spend a couple thousand dollars to take 25/25 heroes to 40/40. It would be naive to think that losing non-spending players is more detrimental than increased spending by the third group is profitable. There is a reason SC never responds to these threads because denying problematic AI would be lying, and owning problematic AI would be arguably worse.
The solution to poor AI is to find something better to do with your time and money. Then and only then will they release a playable game.
I suppose its possible that they made the AI run amok to create more gem spenders, but yeah, still no response from SC (Darian) over this, so we can only speculate.
For me, the worst is that we've been ignored and no info is forthcoming. Thats probably the worst sin for me. Most people will adapt and keep playing, figuring out whats changed with AI as they continue progressing their bases, that's common sense. The lack of communication over this is just pitiful in my opinion. Darians been absent from the forums for a while. This is typical sc head in sand way of doing things. Darians been trained well! (Dont know what's going on? Ignore the forums until it blows over!)
Seriously the queen became a gold miner killer since this updtae she always do her best to stay outside of the core !!
They already made their money when the company sold for billions to the Chinese bank. I'm pretty sure appeasing to the current user base is the last thing in their minds. The big money has already been made, this is the "let's suck as much money as possible until it dies out" phase.
this one actually makes sense... in as much as we understand the new AI. the AQ now seems to go for the target that is closer by travel distance rather than sight distance. while the gold storage is closer in terms of sight lines, she'd have to walk more tiles to get within shooting range - that's why she went for the collectorQuote:

Revert the changes on the home village. Remove the changes from the base AI class, make the builder base troop AI class inherit the home base one if you must, but if you need to make changes, for the love of god, override them in the derived class from now on... save us from this torture!

While i did my attacks, i saw the saw queen doing this, the gap was relatively little less too but she walked away. While i watched some replays of my defence in log, there too i saw few times troops and queen evade like thisQuote:
