When we start an upgrade, we should be able to chose how many builders we want to put on this building. You would take the amount of time and divide it by the amount of builders and that would give you the actual building time. It would help if you only had your town hall left to upgrade and you had 4 builders left- then it will become a lot shorter time and you wouldn't have to wait 8 days.😩
