Again with this, I just don't get it, when you put something up for sale it is anyone and everyone's rights to buy regardless who you want as buyers. I get raiders and stalkers all the time but I don't think it is a big deal. Finders keepers, if you feel you really need someone else to buy them, just halt selling them when you see stalkers. Personally, it's either that person or some other person buys your items. Really, the whole point of selling your products is that you need to clear your storage so what does it matter who buys them? This is a game, fair and square, you buy what you need.
I don't mind if someone raids my shop the only thing that annoys me at times is when I put expansion materials for sale and I see my neighbor who bought it has done so to put it up for sale on their stall. I'll admit that I buy land expansion materials when I see them from an ad so that I can sell to my neighbors who need them but avoid buying them from my own neighbors if my only intention is to resell.
Oh dear, I really shouldn't read posts about raiding because I'm paranoid and think you're all pointing at me! Although I've been playing for quite a while, I only recently registered for the forums and learned all the different opinions on raiding. When I visit a neighbor and see items I need, I buy them. Sometimes I'm buying to fill my crates. Sometimes I'm buying to fill neighbors' crates. Also, on a return visit, it's hard to remember what you bought now that icons don't show. When I visit, I'm a responsible neighbor and always water plants and fill crates if I have the products my neighbors need. I'll fill any and all crates including sugar and dairy. Can't even guess how many dairy, sugar, jam, juice, and soup crates I've filled for neighbors! Anyway, if you think I've raided you, I apologize and hope my filling your crates and watering your plants makes up for my possible greediness. Love the forums and think you're all great neighbors.
How does anyone enjoy the game if you're so concerned about who buys what from your shop and then does whatever with it?
So what if a neighbor buys from your shop and resells it? I sometimes sell items at a low cost. If my neighbor turns around and resells it for max price I say go for it. Don't sell at low cost if you're going to stress out over a neighbor buying an item and reselling it.
The objective when I sell something in my shop is for someone to buy it. What they do with it at that point is their business not mine.
I'm of the mind that if it goes in the shop, it's up for sale. If I sell something on eBay, I don't care who buys it or what they do with it. I want that item out of my home, would like a few bucks for it, done. The RSS is the same way. Besides, I don't usually discount, so there's not much marking up that can be done, but if I did, shoppers are welcome to mark it up as much as possible. That's business. I finished expanding my land first so I helped my daughter with her land expansion materials until she finished expanding hers, and I bought the LEMs wherever I found them. Does that make me bad? She and I trade back and forth for all manner of things, always at full price. Now I'm working on the fishing areas. My personal bottom line is if it's in a store, it's up for grabs.
I do fill crates and water as many trees as possible so I try to be a good neighbor on both fronts! :)
It's time to wrap this one as all what can be said has been said :).
