Haystaker I agree with you 100%. I don't don't care who buys my stuff. As long as it sells I'm fine with that. But I do one thing to assure that my neighbors get first choice. I put up a full stand full of goodies with no ad for about 30 min then I fill the bought crates with crops then put up an ad. So if you guys see a lot of crops it's because one of our neighbors got what they needed. I love u guys!
From the perspective of a relatively new player (been playing about a week):
I came to the forums looking for new GC friends to help with Captain 3. I didn't even know what "raiding" was until today when I saw threads like these.
In short, I'm one to play a game the way I enjoy it -- but I'm not one to do so at the expense of others. HD looks to create a unique perspective on what I pretty much thought was a free market system. If at starting levels, I saw wheat for 10, I bought it and resold it for 36. It honestly never dawned on me that such might bother anyone. Even now, a week later at Level 22, I'm likely to buy an item like pumpkins to fill my boat faster than my own grow rate. Later, I could well end up selling pumpkins on the market for the space at full price. And, if I see a building expansion item on the market, I'm going to buy all of them I can! :)
So, I guess my point is that most of us newer players probably exhibit behaviors people can consider greedy ... but the intent to be so probably isn't there. Part of figuring out the game is also figuring out the community, after all.
Play it your way, Nenelar, and the way you described is just fine. Come be my friend and buy as much as you want as often as you want, and if you find something discounted, feel free to sell it for more. That's free enterprise! :)

Of course the intent isn't there! and the forum community know that ..it is just a 'few' who have decided that someone who takes more than 6/7 items from their RSS are greedy people. but most of us who play HD don't think that at all!
There may be a few who are considered lurkers or stalkers who will take everything in your RSS and frequently, but there is some good advice from the community members on these forums on how to deal with those people.
If one of your friends makes it known to you they don't like having more than 6/7 items taken from their RSS then respect their wishes as it's their game play.
Have fun it's a great game
