Actually the eggs I sell would be ones I found cheaply in the DD and I just buy them and put them in my shop for friends for the same price (if I've got room in my barn). Anyone is welcome to them, but when the whole row gets bought by one high level player who then resells at full price, I find that a bit sad.

But just to make myself clear to anyone who reads this, if I filled my shop to the brim with everything at full price and somebody emptied the entire shop, I would not consider that raiding. If I go to a friends shop and they have very cheap items I kind of 'take it as read' that they have been put there for people who need very cheap items and that's not me. So I might buy one or two things if I'm really desperate to fill a boat, but otherwise I leave them for new players. My friend Nink has an interesting strategy which I am going to try and would recommend to others: She sometimes dual prices, ie. one lot of fish and chips at full price and another next to it at default. I thought I might try filling my shop with top price on top row and cut price on bottom row and see what the results are - might be an interesting experiment.

Yay, someone DID actually notice. Yes, I do that. Because I think, sometimes someone might really want something, and not have a lot of coins to spare. And I think, if coins are not an issue to someone, they might leave the cheaper one for someone who needs it cheaper and still not miss out themselves. I always sell animal food, and bread, and jumpers and less needed/wanted items at default price, or lower. But them if I knew someone needed something badly, I'd give it to them for free. It's nice to be able to help out.

How should anyone know what have advertised? The button is only visible to you. Why should anyone camp at your farm???

IMHO :o We never really know the reason behind people and their purchases... For instance, I help a lot of people, and if I see a boat I can't fill and it's easy items such as popcorn or bread for example, I will scour the DD and my friends stalls to help out, I will even put them in my stall at default prices with their name on my RSS for their un opened crates, so far no one has purchased any of these items, thank you! And sometimes the person I loaded my stalls for doesn't even notice what I've done, so then I change the name and don't care who gets them...lol

I have been helping a young girl expand, she poofed for a while, but now she's back and I have been working very hard to help her and she was also behind on her machine purchases. To help her with cash, the only thing we can do is give high ticked products to them, so thats what I did, I scoured the DD and bought high ticket items at full price, of course I also went to my friends farms and purchased what I could that I could pass on to her. So here's the thing, I grabbed a ton of stuff and passed it along to her for 1 coin, I might have purchased it at a discounted price, but that just helped me to not spend so much at my gifting to her, which was greatly appreciated I must add :D After I maxed her barn and silo up 3 times, my coin was pretty depleted, so I filled my stall with items at pretty much max price, so just because I purchased from a friend at a discounted price, I'm thinking it was pretty much my own stock I filled my stalls with.

Heck, I bought 30 B&E at full price and passed them on to her and that was just one item I snagged, then I bought her stall out and gave it all back to her again... LOLOL

I guess my point is, you never know what someone is doing on the other side of the screen... And Woozle, I am guilty also of buying eggs from you too, I only buy eggs when I run out because I have neglected to feed my happy chickens and my feed mill is full of everything else :(

Hay Day is my favorite game, and I have met some truly amazing people on here, so giving and gracious... we just need to remember to have fun and be good to each other :)

Normally when I list stuff in my RSS I do not care how much or how often of my normal items people buy...or even barn/silo items since those can go on forever, they can clean me out of those and I don't mind...I do however think it is pure greed when I see someone buy every single one of my land expansion items and I know they do not need them for themselves. I sell those for my friends that need to expand. I know they are hard to come by and I never advertise when those are in my stand, and rarely advertise anyways...still don't have that achievement even. It irritates me greatly to see that someone has bought them ALL and I go to their RSS and see them re-selling. What is the point? Usually when I list land items, I list single or maybe 2 items together, never more than 2, so I know I'm not forcing someone to buy 10 that needs 2 and they resell the rest. They are just being greedy and I have to say those people that do so do get deleted. You may consider me being overly sensitive about it, or just old, grumpy and set in my ways...but this is the way I play, they can play how they want to, just not on my land :)

This is an interesting thread. I've only just recently discovered the Forum, though I've been playing the game daily (a LOT daily) for over 2 months and I've learned on my own, some good, some bad. But the bottom line insofar as this thread is concerned is that I don't consider someone buying my entire shop "raiding." I figure they must need all my things for purposes of their own. I almost never discount my things, but I also don't go trawling for newbies and their cheap prices either. They'll learn to max their prices out as we all did after a short time. As another poster said, I'm so happy to find what I need that I NEVER look at the price and just buy it regardless. I'm fine with paying full price for eggs on the one or two times that I've ever needed them, and I'm fine with paying full price for wheat and other veggies too. I never sell eggs, wheat or corn, only rarely sell wool or bacon (those are the items I might discount a tiny bit, and the sweaters and hats too, but not very often), and everything in my shop sells, though sometimes it takes a bit of nudging and setting a slow-to-sell item as the advertisement. I also sell fruits and occasionally sugar cane, but that only occasionally.

One of my followers used to consistently buy me out, but then I just finished a truck order phase and was selling very little in the RSS, so I think he's since unfollowed me. He used to help me on my boats, too, which I thought was a fair trade for regularly cleaning me out, but even if he hadn't, my philosophy is the stuff's in the store to sell. I don't care who's doing the buying. And if I find a store that happens to have a lot of stuff I need, I'm going to get in there and be happy I found them. And maybe try to friend them as well, if they're amenable.

I'm one of the ones who can't stand the new gray SOLD bins, so it vexes me a lot when people leave them up for days and days. I've unfriended the worst offenders. I don't care what was sold last week.

Bottom line, I pay full price and nearly always charge full price and I LOVE THIS GAME!!

P.S. I do help on sugar and dairy crates for my friends when I can. :)

OK, I have to ask - how does one NOT post an advertisement when they want to fill their store and give their friends first choice? I usually advertise a highly desirable item, a single tool, then wait for it to be bought and wait another minute so there's no lurking, then start filling, but it appears there's a different way.

Still very new to the ins and outs of advertising.

Just play it. RAID me all you want. Truth of the matter is, I'm able to make more! And it's there because I need it gone. I usually put things to premium price cuz it's faster but sometimes I take the mind of my young farmer self and remember the need for cheaper products. I have plenty money and plenty friends. I just enjoy the game. Dairy stuff I'm always behind and sugar stuff is the same but I am trying my best to assist my friends in need. So add me if ya like Cats! Raiding invited!

The eggs are there for everyone and anyone! If I find them for sale cheaply and I have space in my barn I just buy them and pass them on at the same price. Ironically they are usually from new farms, which are the ones who should be charging full price for them. There's rarely more than 10 or 20 in my shop. But I used to grow lots of veg overnight and fill the whole bottom row of my shop with veg at very cheap prices. I don't do it much any more because the same person used to buy the whole lot. (Uncannily within about five minutes). Now all my lovely friends can stop worrying because the culprit is not a forum user. Please come and buy anything you like, as long as it's not enough tomatoes to sink the boat!

Hi shealie!

Select the item you want to sell. Under the crate it says advertise with a big green check. Tap the check mark and it will remove the advertisement. Hope I helped some. Add me if you want!
