Can't believe a lvl70+ player would go down to your level to farm you. Some people really are moral less, btw how much loot did he take from you and what troops did he use?

I'd smash up a level 1 if he had enough loot.
he probably saw the chance for cheap cups.
Above 200 there is absolutely zero impact of the levels in calculating the matchmaking or loot - otherwise it would have made my low lvl to crystal quest that much easier.
All depends on your trophies and also it's just random matchmaking.
Thanks for the replies, perhaps you can explain further. This player is pretty much a top banana, TH8, maximum gold storage, amazing base set up with Dragons, over 2350 trophies in multiplayer battles, but only about 200 (in single player?)
I have about 280.
He just dropped one archer, and left. I didn't have anything much to steal at the time having just purposely used everything I had to upgrade before going off-line. I just don't understand the game enough yet to see why he would do this. I want to think that he was just being honourable but why would he bother to look for single player matches when he knows he is so powerful in comparison to any other single player. Also if someone could explain what a farmer is and what the other alternatives are, or just post me a link to a thread that explains. that would be great. Sorry for all the newbie questions, but as I spend hours helping newbies on Hay Day, (Clanners included), so it's payback time!:o
By the way, I take it that you don't name or mention individual players or their clans on the forum, (that it's like not mentioning GC names on the Hay Day forum).
Ok when you hit the attack button it matches you up against anyone in the world so this guy just happened to find you. And it was the farthest thing from nobility we have in this game;) farming (rough definition) is when you purposefully target loot before trophies so you might drop trophies while doing this, so this guy by dropping one troop was dropping trophies. And any time a real player targets another player is a multiplayer match not single player. Single player is when you attack the goblin bases, the ones on the right when you hit the attack button.
an alternative to farming is spending 12,000 dollars or bout 8,000 eurous;) which i doubt you want to do;) and i wouldn't call myself a noob more a new guy who doesn't know what the hell hes doing;) ive been watching your farm grow (we r GC friends from HD) and it looks good you do have one little wall space that is open, i suggest putting a spring trap there, it will be devestating:)
i can can arrange that once you build your clan castle you can come visit us in Court of Owls
He was dropping trophies to get under 200, where there are different matchmaking rules. You only get matched to TH's that are up to two below yours (and any any that are higher), it used to be good for farming, not so sure nowadays.
All he did was give you a few trophies, not sure what the problem here is..
No you do not only get matched to people of your level, you get matched based on how many trophies you have. If you think about it, if you only get matched on level, th1's would have a chance of getting to the top of the leaderboards, you would constantly be picking up wins against other low levels.
I'll drop down there at some point to pick up defense wins otherwise I will never get that achievement.
Our profiles record the maximum trophy level we have reached we don't get trophies for single player. This player made it to 2350 at one point but then decided to lose them all. This is our version of farming. ;) Some people like to drop way down to 200 and lower some try to maintain higher ranges but will still drop if they get too high.
So would it be considered bad form if I (a near maxed TH8 including walls) were to drop down into the sub 1000 cup level to let weaker players attack my base so that I can get the defense achievement gem rewards?:p Bear in mind that I don't actually attack any base lower than TH7...loot penalty doesn't make it worth the trouble.
