At wich lvl balloons shoud you start attacking with them?
at lvl1/2/3 they are a little bit to weak to attack with thats why i use mostly gaints.
but at wich lvl from balloons shoud it be smart to start attacking with it?
im in silver League 1( mostly farming) and have lvl3 balloons but i dont know if its worth to upgrade them first.
I've found that I could use 35 lvl 4 balloons + some gobs to great extent if I used spells, without spells I find my lvl 5 balloons are great for balloon/minion, however the real power of the balloons is found at lvl 6 where they are very strong.
Yeah, 35 balloons is a lot, that's a huge brew time!
Low level balloons can help you clear out a lot of the early goblin maps (you need other troops to get the air defenses though)... however personally I just did all but the last couple quite easily using only minions.
I've found that below level 5, there are much better options. For example at TH7 I'd much rather use a dragon than 4 balloons. Below TH7, I just used simple ground troops and never had any problems. When a few low level balloons atacked my little base, even just my archer towers would take the down.
I'm currently using 16 level 5 balloons, with 60 minions (level 4), that's quick (32 minutes) and can 3-star most TH8, and in fact can get great loot out of some bases up to TH10, up to Crystal 1... I wish I'd used it more at TH8 instead of dragons simply because it's faster to brew. It does require lots of rage spells against tougher bases though - slow balloons only work without spells if all the air defenses etc are really close to the edge.
Every upgrade of balloons is a big one... from level 5 to 6, is about a 50% boost. Upgrade them as you go along, but personally I woudn't recommend using them until you get them to level 5, and even then it will take some practice.
Not to brag, but I am very good at balloon attacking. It isn't worth it until your balloons are level 6 and minions at least 4. If you have 220 space in your army camps, then you should use 24 balloons and 50 minions. For spells, I would suggest 1 lightning for clan troops, 2 heal Spells, and 1 rage. The biggest downfall to these air raids are clan troops. You have to make sure you take them out with the spell or minions or heroes.
What do you value more? One balloon or one spell? Isn't dropping a balloon ontop of all the castle troops far better than using a whole lightning for them? Just an extra I've seen being used, which is a nicer way to get rid of them pesky archers. Coffee :)Quote:

At lower levels, lower leveled balloons are okay, but in high level gameplay definitely level 5+

if they were a smart clasher, and had their clan ttroops in the middle of their base, it wouldnt work like that. If they have wizards or anything with range or a dragon, it will shoot at it from a few tiles back and never die. i believe you need to practice more if you think that is how it always works.
