Open letter to Nick

First of all, this letter is really to Supercell, but as Nick is its face for us, he has the title (and considering all I am not surprised you had to have a sabbatical)
Much has being said here about this camping derby, and yet the first answer we had was from some support letter for one forum member.
All issues taken into consideration, there were very dew answes to the problem
1- we desgned it that way, deal with it
2- there were unforeseen variables
3- we messed up, sorry

I am at loss to understand why no answer was given, for, you see, I have been in this forum for 3 years or so, and most of the constant participants here, be they grumpy or cheery, love this game, and nothing but its betterment is in their minds. We even made jokes ot the worst week ever - rosegate and everyone opted in in derby.
I recently read a sobbering post about taking into account reddit and fb, a fair enough post, but maybe, just maybe not accurate. If you take fb for serious, by now we would have turned our dead trees into axes, which seems to be a majority there. I also looked up reddit, and at least under hay day ( I confess I did not look for variations such as haydayers, app farmers or even greg's fans); and what I mostly saw were recruiting or trading entries.
But here Nick, I saw people taking time to explain. Debate, contradict, rage and occasionally even bite each other in a very educated way. We do so much want it to last forever.
Mostly, It is my belief that for this loyalty to hayday, we need better and quicker answers, wven if the answers do not please us

Very good post - and I for one have no issues with your English phrasing :) I agree with everything you say.

One of the great frustrations of many members the forum over the years has been a lack of communication from SC. I agree that the folks here, although a minority of the feedbackers, usually give the best and most detailed feedback.

Nick has acknowledged that - yet - we are often forgotten for announcements and etc. So ---- dunno.

Nice job Anagfm. At least you didn’t get my answer awhile back. “Coding is hard, you have to be patient”.

i agree that there should have been better communication.

realistically this game is a business, and it's kind of a no-no to ignore your customers. especially when they have question about the nature of goods or services they are looking to purchase, as is the nature of our interaction with the game.

It is so true that a little communication can save a lot of headaches. All we needed to hear was, “It’s not working the way we planned or publicized. There is no fair way for us to reset it in the middle of the event. Please just carry on with this week’s Derby as it is currently functioning. We’re very sorry it is not living up to your expectations or ours.” That should have been posted as an in-game notification 24 hours ago.
