Barn and Silo

I'm about to reach level 44 and haven't paid much attention to my Barn and Silo storages before. They used to overflow sometimes, but it was rare.

Things changed after I took a break from the game, now my Barn has started to overflow a lot. In the last 48 hours, it reached it's maximum capacity 5 times. My Silo and Barn storages are at 375 and 400. I know they're way too low.

I would like to know the minimum capacity of Barn and Silo (especially Barn) at my respective level, so that it doesn't overflow and I can work efficiently. Please reply

I am terribly afraid that barn size never is enough, even at big sizes. At your level and barn size, the best thing is concentrating on raising the size of one building at a time, barn or silo, selling the tools of the one not being upgraded, forget land tools for now.
too many new products and crops got added in recent updates, with no change on tools drop levels, si it will get worse once you get the machines with thise products.

Even better, why not try trading the tools for one purpose while you collect the tools for another. People will generally give you 3 silo materials for 1 barn or vice-versa. This will significantly improve your progress and you won't have to just sell and wave those tools goodbye

Let me tell you mine
My Farm level is 23 and my BARN storage is 100 while my Silo storage is 150.
I feel that I am Rushed in this level and these levels are too low for barn and Silo. is that fair Enough?

There is no minimum capacity for storage for respective farm experience level. Our need for more storage just comes from producing or buying more than capacity.

between the ban, silo, land expansion and town expansion, it is difficult to try keeping for all. Try to focus on one thing, rather than saving for all.

keep your storage clear of easy to make/easy to buy things, for example, some of the coffee stand products are fast to make, chilli popcorn and bacon and eggs are easy to find, so why store them?

and if you are in a neighbourhood, look to your hoodies for help with expanding or even storing expansion materials for you!

As has been said....your barn and silo are NEVER large enough......I suggest you find a NH with someone you know so that person can assist you in expanding your barn and silo. I am at lvl 118 and my barn is 4400, silo 2800. I find I can keep my silo under control and still have enough supplies if I farm correctly. My town rep is 45 and all but 2 buildings are at max level of 38. It takes 2900 items of Paint, tar, bricks, stone, drills, hammers, and 741 of all the others.....My wife started HD a few months ago and I have helped her to a lvl 45 with a barn at 925 and silo at 900. Her town is upgraded to appropriate levels as well.

At your level I had both at 1800. Barn because im obsessed with it, silo because i am hooked on wheating.
I am always stalking the paper for tools, trade with friends and hoodies etc. The result is, i am always broke. A large barn is always useful, for playing the town, for storing stuff to trade with, gather expansion sets, stock up for those events etc. Big silo means you never need to sell on rss and tinker with each slot (wheating) and sell only to farm visitors thousands of wheat at a time.
So, as others said, the larger, the better. Sky is the limit. Sky being currently 10000 capacity.
Now i am forced to use the phrase i hate the most: it depends on your gameplay.

It's true that it will depend on your play style as everyone has said.

But I'm currently finding myself fine with this:

For example, I'm at level 40, and I (really really) want to keep everything I can make from machines for an amount of at least 3 of them. Because visitors in the town only consume about 2 or 3 cakes, pies, juices... sometimes a bit crazy visitor will eat 11 packs of popcorn once (hope they will get fat as hell). So I may want to store around 15 popcorn, some eat 5 pancakes too, some love 7 fish. I usually keep 18 chicken feeds, 15 cow feeds, 10 sheep feed, and 8 goat feed to be able to instantly collect their products then feed them. About bem, sem, say I will need 19 each of them to expand my barn/silo so I need 19 x 3 x 2 rooms. Tem, lem are similar.

I make a summary of all room needed, say 580, then I will be comfortable with a 600 capacity barn. Then we have to aim for this number.

I will run into a situation when visitors will eat 4 or 5 things at one time so I have to store 5 each of them instead of 3. I redo the math to define the number needed.

Of course, that how I play and your mileage may vary...

You are about at the level I was when I first found the forums. And there is some awesome information here especially in the “New To HayDay?” Sub-forum. I was able to correct the “errors” I had made early on, such as leveling up too quickly and not having the amount of coins I needed to buy new machines. There are as many ways to play this game as there are players. Find what works for you and switch things up when it gets boring. It’s about resource management, not who finishes first, as there is no end.

I’m level 52 (nearing 53) and my barn and silo are at 800 each, I like to try and keep at least 5 or 6 of each item and sell off the rest, I then keep an eye on the dd and with the support of my nh for expansion materials. Also note some town upgrades require some of your treasured barn/silo upgrade materials.
