Bot buyer problem

What I also got from the representative was the reporting would be more beneficial in numbers rather than one at a time. I take that to mean we should try to time our reports and screenshots, to support, to be on the same day but not necessarily at the exact same time.

In order to do that we would need to be able to co-ordinate with each other to do it in the same 12-24hr time frame. Well that is how I have interpreted it :)

Apparently there was meant to be a solution for this but it's more prevalent now than before. SC really aren't doing enough to address this issue. This has been a problem for nearly a year now and nothing's been done about it.

i think what they mean by that is they need a preponderance of evidence to be able to be certain of reported behavior.

as an example, with the wheating bots - when the GIRL'S FARM bots were running amok, i would wait until i had found about 20-30 of them, explain the identifying features, and provide all the screen shots together in one report. it's pretty convincing when there's 20-30 nearly identical farms with identifiable features and behaviors.

in the case of the buyer bots, if i had one raiding my rss, i would probably put up a bem, sccreenshot if bought, put up another item at a set price like 100 coins, screen shot coin difference with a time on a machine, put up a bem, repeat cycle a few times. it's hard to necessarily prove time except times in RSS but i'd do something like that and seek feedback. multiple instances of the same event help build credibility for the support people to pass on to those that actually look into such things.

also keep that in mind, the support people aren't the ones that look into it, so they're not able to or authorized to provide full info

I don't "gotta respect him" when he/she/it ruins the game for so many others. People like this are not the heroes some make them out to be.

he's not a modern day robin hood, he's the opposite. instead of 'take from the rich to give to the poor', he takes from the common folk playing a game, to make himself rich. nothing to respect there. it's vindictive and not fair play.

I could not agree more... You would be better off reporting anything you know about such activities to support rather than singing praises of it here

With respect, shadyacre, I believe the principle of what he was saying was the very complex matter of tracking them
/blocking and shutting down the way in which their script works is less possible for the mods to know how SC has worked out to ban them if there are lots of farms involved. With just one or two that they manage to block, it is far easier for them to see how and work another way to infiltrate our farms.
