For me it’s the jam maker. The game has grown so much since the jam maker was introduced that it has almost no capacity to keep up with game demand. My second most useless is the sewing machine and third place goes to the jewelry maker. Fourth place is the hat maker. What are yours?
Candy maker is definitely my 5th place. Too long!
The jam maker certainly qualifies as the most frustrating. When you combine the length of time needed to produce one jar of jam with the number of jars required for boat crates, there's a real disconnect.

lol, if you mean an actual machine, the hat maker. i haven't even bought it yet, and skipped it as i wanted the other machines more, especially since for some of the hats it requires feathers, which i rarely have an excess of. i buy the red cloche hats from paper (often at less than full price), and just send tom for the top hat and sun hat as the need arises. they are so rarely part of truck or town orders that it's rarely ever more than once a week. it will be the last machine i buy.
One word: Rose.
Sewing machine. I send Tom for blankets and pillows (who has enough feathers to make those?) and the other items are very easy to find in the paper or friends' shops.
Feathers and lobster production are really big jokes. Your sooo right about making blankets and pillows. Then some boat comes along wanting 16-20 feathers. Bye bye boat!
I have to agree with most of the previous posts (except for Rose- I love her. :heart: ) Jam takes WAY too long. I send Tom for feathers, and often for lobsters because I never have enough (lobster traps and duck traps take WAY to long, as well. It's a joke.) I like to make pillows and blankets, but I usually send Tom for those because I never have enough feathers (feather boats??? Are you kidding me???). Same with hats. So, I would say it's not the machines that are useless, it's the fact that there are never enough feathers to make anything. I can buy cloche hats in the DD because apparently everyone except for me makes them. Good god, people. Enough already! lol

I can buy Cloché Hats, the others are such a pain to make you just use Tom to top them up.
Sewing machine yes. I always have the jam maker running, so Im okay with that one.
It all comes down to very poor production timing. We need some new items with reasonable production times to use on under used machines. AND fix the feather and lobster production!
A lot of mention of the hat maker here -- mine runs all the time. Mostly red hats though. A straw hat to utilize wheat has been highly suggested to address this issue (and I love that idea!)

No one has a problem with the Pasta Kitchen? I never use mine. I have a certain # of each dish and they just sit in my barn getting dusty.

The sanctuary is not a machine.
Also, I don't like that the sanctuary next to the town. We feed the animals on the farm, go to town, and I totally forget about the animal in the sanctuary, because its so far to the side of the town. Easy to forget, at least for me.
Judging by the number of stars on my machines - I use the taco kitchen the least as it only has one star and the rest have either 2 or 3 stars. I've never tried to max out a machine on purpose by making stuff just to get a star. Apparently the way I play I don't tend to load the taco kitchen unless I want something to give to a townie probably.
Same as chelfarmer for me it's the pasta kitchen, it uses dairy so I don't keep it running at all times. I actually make quite a lot of hats and don't use tom for those, I use him to occasionally top up my blankets n pillows and of course jam. I basically only make 3 types - Apple, grape an raspberry the others I usually have to wait for a tom booster n top up what I am Low on or don't serve the order.
I've earned all stars on all machines about 9 months back, so I do keep all machines running and sell excess made so I don't run out of coins ☺️
Candy maker has much to long of production time. Have you noticed town demand for candy seems to have gone up? I had a townie ask for 33 jars of honey this week. Really? I can’t keep my bees in full production.
Candy maker - 20+ hours for jellybeans and 17+ for a chocolate bar? Way too long. Not even reasonable.
Jam maker - between 5-7 hrs for production! Boats ask for 9-12 of them, and the grocery store constantly wants jam for very little return. No one gets jam in my town, lol. I hoard jam and only use it to help others on boats.

The tea stand is a total waste of money. There is rarely any demand for tea, and the cost of the stand is outrageous!
There is actually quite a demand for tea products in town and for trucks and boats.

What do you consider the most useless bit of equipment on your farm?
It's a shame you didn't include 'helpers' because the dastardly duo are, by far, the most useless things on my farm!
Equipment. I don't consider any of it useless, I run most machines as close to 24/7 as possible. Obviously the Tea/Coffee stands rarely achieve that & sometimes the pasta kitchen sits idle because of the lack of dairy or the sushi machine has a break.
However, I'd pay coins/vouchers/diamonds to be able to have a bloke in to make the Jam/Candy etc machines work more efficiently. When you get to Level 100, it would be great to be able to pay to have them work, say, 50% faster.
Then you still should consider Rose. She's milking 24/7 and you can't :)
Can't think of something useless. Frustrating: Yes. Jam maker keeping 6 hours for jam even with 3 stars...
Tea stand is wonderfull. When having 3 stars the flowers make it even better looking. It's my favorite machine.
I try to keep my jams at 12 in the barn at all times. Have never run out but then I'm not a boat and truck person I prefer town. I do boats for derby only.
Feathered goods blanket and pillows I order through tom as well as jellybeans and chocolate bar. I continue to make lobster traps and duck catchers all week long and try and derby fishing. The rest of the week I replenish my lobster and feathers and keep the fish caught during derby. I usually use tom for diamond rings to pay for the diamonds I use getting him.
Buy my red hats.
Try to keep 30 each of honey and wax in barn. And even if you get the twelve jams each keep making them. Also attempt to keep 8 items of everything else in my barn.
Candy maker, it takes way too long to produce.
A toss up between Rose & Ernest who I have never used or the pathetic Sanctuary

I stack. I'll try to explain, but it probably won't make too much sense to non stackers.
Ernest isn't so bad if I chose very carefully what to let him make & tweak it as I go. But he's no help either as I can fill my dairy/sugar slots myself and if I forget to tweak him he might out a syrup in when I'd put 4 brown sugars in because I'm there. Rose - she's just a nightmare! She has no sense when it comes to putting a feed on to make, I mean who puts sheep feed on in the middle of the day when the cows are hungry? I always have loads of feed stacked, but if she's around she puts stupid things on at daft times & I run out of feed.

I loved Rose because she is doing milk job very well, I got extra storage to make dairy products (my barn always max capacity/ over - today : 886/875 ^_^) + I loved her because she gave us land deeds, nails, saws, axes. I love to share the extra feeds for my friends who take feeding task.
I also still can't love Ernest. I hire him only when there is free trial/ free booster. The last time I hired him, I set him to produce 9 brown sugar, 2 syrup, 10 cheese, etc. I have 7 brown sugars, 2 syrups, 3 cheese ready in my machines. He just collect my sugars & cheese (he only make 2 brown sugar & 7 cheese). No extra tools.
I will not spend 15 diamonds for Ernest, I prefer to use my diamonds for Tom.
Rose n Ernest. Don't care for them.
Decorations I guess? I like all my machines. I like to make things myself and rarely buy anything unless I totally run out and it's easy to find (like eggs). I do buy if I see good stuff but don't spend a lot of time in the DD.
Maybe nets are the most useless equipment? I never make them anymore. I can keep up with lobster traps and duck cages but I can not fit in any nets.

Honey and wax are big problems, I agree. Especially with stalled bee hive. I want a bee keeper. I get most single planks from my towns. Play your town hard and it should help.
