Well, it is really a lengthened ttp...with centralized tesla. But I would say no. Many th9 and th10 bases still get two starred regularly, so a th without x-bows or infernos...tricky. I would abandon a classic base and hope to protect my th at all costs to avoid two stars...and remember:

hogs
gowipe
gl!

yea i would just recomend staying active for a very moments at a time and take full advantage of your sheild because most of your raid will be 2 stars. aim for week gemmers and week bases and i recomend you use balloon minnion statagy attacking

The most efficient way to climb to master league with TH8 would probably be to simply leave your TH outside for the 1* shield, and obviously stay on for as long as possible at a time. Some attackers will take the TH and continue to 3-star you of course, but nowadays there are also a TON of farmers between 2000-2600, and none of them will pass up a return of 55k/55k/200 for the cost of a handful of archers.
