In Clash of Clans, your troops are not recruited, they are built and grown using elixir. You notice that elixir is pumped from the ground, and you also notice that when a troop dies, you see a little poof of elixir. The troops in clash of clans are expendable. For all we know, the villagers don't see your troops as human or natural, they are simply designed in a lab and grown, trained, and conditioned in a barracks. Once the raid is done in Clash of Clans, the troops are just too exhausted and they wither away into the elixir they were created from and soak into the ground.
Unlike Boom Beach, you're able to place any unit anywhere on the map. In Boom Beach you're only limited to spawning troops on the beach. I also noticed that you really need to rely on the gun boat in Boom Beach to aid your troops, as it isn't as deploy and location-oriented as Clash of Clans is. Of course, you have spells, but you understand how both offense systems work. The support system with the gun boat is what makes Boom Beach a tad more realistic, as support and roles in any military situation are important.
Enough with the technicalities, here's a main reason why we aren't able to use the troops that survive in battle:
Troops in the game are strong, and it really isn't uncommon to see a lot of troops still alive after you get that three star. Especially when you're using some mass/spam attack, it's easy to keep troops together and aid them with spells. When you have a lot of troops left, you only need to spend a fraction of what you would for a whole army and would save you a lot of time. If everyone is staying online, it'll be even more difficult to find a match. Especially at TH10-11 in Titans or Legends league if the person gets the 3*. It would slightly decrease the matches you find and would throw offense out of balance.
TH7 mass drag has always been a thing. I always see at least 5-6 dragons still alive on a good attack. Now think about how expensive an entire army of dragons are. If you only need to pay 4/10 or half the amount of a mass dragon army, people would simply be making a lot more profit, even when using an expensive army.
Now look at TH11 dips on TH10's. Most of the time, because of the Grand Wardan, the TH11 just steamrolls the heck out of the TH10 and has so many Bowlers/witches/balloons left. It would be a mess.
These are two different worlds. One with magic, one with technology. In Clash you have troops 'created' from elixir and dark elixir. In Boom you have actual people.
