Why are you still playing Coc past th9?


I get that everyone is different but I find it very tedious to farm and despite
match making recent efforts, engineered bases still ruin the fun of wars.
I am not into cup rushes either


So why keep playing ?
Because I love competition and organized tournaments.
That's where u can find excitement and face balanced opposition because pretty much everyone has maxed out TH.


The only downside of that is that everyone has maxed out TH )))


Leading to this question, if you are TH9 or TH10, do you really want to upgrade your TH?


By doing so , you will be back in the tedious phase of farming and unbalanced wars without having
the option to compete.


Let alone that when upgrading, your heroes are not available for the attack phase of wars so you are stuck in the farming phase for weeks.




I am max TH9 right now and I think I wont upgrade to TH10 due to these reasons. Therefore I will only play the game
for competition tournaments
(no more farming, no more reasons to spend gems)


In my opinion Supercell has not a friendly competitive environment , that's why a lot
of players stop playing out of boredom.


Here some suggestions :
- make heroes available for wars no matter what (a petition already exists on this very forum)
- keep improving Match making
- make a competitive mode where everyone has a maxed out th of its choosing


ok , the latter option seems unrealistic but In my opinion, ppl who still have incentive to
improve their TH cuz it would be the only way to try troup comps and perform during this mode.


ie: if you are a TH9 and decide to compete as a TH11, there is little chance that you will perform well due to lack of experience facing TH11 villages.


An alternative would be a mode where u could choose to compete at ur actual TH level OR lesser
ie: if u are TH11 u could compete as TH10 or TH9


This way u still have incentive to improve ur main village and you developp competitive scene
by a great deal !!!

War and glory is the only thing left to me as a TH11

The ability to farm in Clash of Clans is probably it's biggest problem. It is too easy for farm your way into higher levels where you simply lack to skill to compete at your account's level.

I see it every day, and always have done, starting from rushed TH8s, and getting worse at higher levels. It seems worst at TH10, so many TH10s wandering, unable to perform TH10-worthy attacks, rubbish in wars, getting bored.

Increasingly, I find decent TH10s seeking a good clan, not because they didn't get on with their previous clans (the usual reason of previous years), but because their longstanding old clan has gone inactive due to everyone else becoming bored.

I read your post and want to address one of the points because it kinda fits my idea of fixing the matchmaking problem. I know it is off topic.

I suggest that during wars, that whatever townhall level you are at becomes maxed. So in otherwords a fresh th9 becomes a max th9 during war. Spells, heroes, troops, walls and defenses all maxed, including always available heroes.

This would solve all of the matchmaking problems. The matchmaker would match townhall to townhall and the war would be determined by defensive layout, attack strength and team organization

That would be the upside, no more excuses. The downside would be that you can only friendly war and friendly challenge at your current level of advancement. Simply put if your heroes are upgrading then they arent available and if your troop and spell levels or defenses and walls arent maxed them they arent maxed during friendlies. You simply cannot practice as a max townhall unless you truly have earned it in the multiplayer game.

This would kill the rushed and engineered townhall game. The only use for existing engineered bases would be for engineered friendly tournaments and the challenge of pushing with a defensively inept base.

Sure you could just rush to th11 but you would never be able to practice properly without actually playing the multuplayet game and I am sure Supercell can find another way for us to spend gems anyways. The big spenders are tournament players, power pushers and engineers any how.

They do need to reduce the hero and dark elixer cost a lot
