Since elixir practically grows on trees at TH8 you may as well. I did it just to waste elixir, I never use them anymore other than for donating purposes due to dodgy AI which always makes them circle the base instead of going right through. But your clannmates will love level three pekkas in their clan castle.
If you have the elixir to spare, why not? Upgrade what you use the most first, then upgrade the rest.
Yes less things do later in th9/10.

Yes! I went straight from PEKKA 1 - PEKKA 3. Never bothered to use PEKKA 2. Good help when pushing as a TH8
I did, but in hindsight wish I had used all that lab time on other things in TH8. So to me it's not the elixir so much as what else could you be upgrading. Particularly if you aren't going to TH9 with a maxed lab as I did because I finished walls, defences BK before I finished lab.

I upgraded my PEKKA to lv3 at TH8 too. They're mostly just for bragging rights at that level. I upgraded all my Barracks as well, in hopes of using the PEKKAs, but it never panned out for me. They're expensive and take long to make, and I have no idea how to use them properly. They just go around smashing things in no particular order, until something shoots them down.

I try to level the female troops, I heard once that the BK doesn't like to hit woman so he stays away from those troops. Besides the higher the pekka now the less you need to do later...get those hogs up though, they are invaluable later.

I have a lvl 2 Pekka now. I have maxxed out the base , I only have hog, valk and Pekka to Maxx out. Is it necessary ? I don't want to spend 6M Elixir
Look at the post date before replying to it. But for your query I would say Yes. TH8 has over abundance of elixir and most of it is wasted. Might as well get the pekka done instead of waiting for TH9 where there is much need for elixir to do stuff.
